BBrown: Quick Update On 2016 ATH Daelin Hayes
I spoke with 2016 ATH Daelin Hayes last night and he told me that he will not be in Ann Arbor this upcoming weekend for the Wisconsin game.
That sounds like a bad thing but it sounds like it was with good reason. Coach Singletary asked Daelin and his mother to come to Ann Arbor the following weekend for the Junior Day event against Michigan State. Coach Singletary told Daelin that it would be in his best interest because it would be more personalized and give him a better opportunity to get some 1 on 1 time with the staff.
That sounds pretty promising for Daelin and with Sparty having offered already I wouldn't be surprised if he was offered by Michigan during that weekend visit.

Why wouldn't you be surprised that Michigan would offer because Sparty has already?
Doesn't that go against the last... oh... say 100 years or so? How many kids have we legit lost to Sparty that we both offered? McDowell? All those Rich Rod kids? We don't follow their lead. Never have, never will.

From what I've seen of Hayes so far, I don't really see a reason to offer him at this time. He might develop into a quality player, but I see him as a guy who would be getting offered simply because he's an in-state guy/brother of a current Michigan player. If his name was Jimmy Blarski from Nebraska, I doubt we would have much interest.

refreshing to see some people understand that a prospects legit talent / projected impact must be weighed against the heart-warming legacy/ familial offers that seem to arouse so many. if the kids not rated at the top of their board then he does not deserve an offer at this time, no matter who it is
