Yeah because their win over Iowa was so impressive
to play football, not to play trumpet
Yeah because their win over Iowa was so impressive
Sparty gone Spart!
the hyde levert may be back. what was that?
I think he saw GR3 cutting and tried to throw an off-balance lob.
walton lookin good
Indiana loses at Nebraska
Walton is going to be a good one
nebraska came back and beat IU. nice. crean is a tool.
keep hoping GRIII will drop one of those three balls
Oh my word.
this team is growing on me... Dare I say they look better than last year's team?
Tough to compare. We had mature Burke and Hardaway with freshmen Stauskas, Glen, Spike, and LeVert. Lost the former, but the latter are now better and more mature. Now, if only Burke and/or Hardaway stayed...we would not lose a game.
They may be better. They surely are more balanced. Last year players games were elevated because Burke was so good that it put all the attention on him. But the offense only ran on his lead. Now it is carried by all of them and Walton is making the others better by doing what a pt guard needs to do.
didn't hurt us
is basically lost on offense anymore. dude, at least crash the boards and get a put back.
14 pts 10 rebounds and counting
that wasn't nice...
This game is not nearly over. Maybe someone should play just a little defense. This is embarrassing.
Not a blocking foul.
Wrong place wrong time
TO time again JB. let em have it. no f-in let down here.
They are gashing us in the paint.
Oh, for the love of GOD.
we got this...
should have taken it to the hole...
Dammit guys we're up 11.
Morgan and Horford had a pair of hands between 'em!
not sure what link it is (I think 2) on frontrow, but these British commercials are the shit.
This just goes to show that you can't take a night off against any team in this conference. I'm confident we'll come out with the W, but Purdue is making us earn it, for sure.
Oh well. Any win in this conference is a good win in my book.
"Oh well. Any win in this conference is a good win in my book."
Yup. How very, very true that's proved to be this season.
I'm sorry, but GRIII needs to stay. They guy has all the athleticism in the world, but damn, he can't do anything unless he has an open shot or an open run to the basket.
I agree. I don't think his mind is at an NBA level yet.
From last place in B1G.
we're poised for a Coach Beilein appreciation thread tongiht...
SPIKE BABY BABY~~~!
that should be a turnover... Great hustle!
LeVert just wanted to play some d guys...
Many point. Wow. Such transition.
Doing his thang
Refs from East Lansing are wondering why no tech was called.
Dang, Caris has a double-double, 14 pts, 11 rbs so far.
but I'm pretty hammered right now.
Heh - Irvin's always good for a yakety-sax shot once a game.
nothing for purdue in the half-court offensive series.
Seriously. Nice Kevin McHale multiple pivot foot AJ.
Purdue is awful...
good decision, that.
Walton Jr., BRINGIN it
needs another 3.
LeVert to Morgan is off tonight.
I always think Walton is gonna miss his 3s because he leans so far forward that he looks wildly off balance.
game by game.
mishandled tha pass, but recovers nicely.
Guys, we're looking at a very good college basketball team.
Yeah, took them a little while to wake up, but once they did they blew the doors off.
not that great a pass
What the fuck is up with old spice commercials, that was weird.
hits a 3.
They need to run a few more plays for Robinson ... They will need him down the line
GR3 could be such a beast... I wanna see some BIG DOG from The Third.
he'll get passive on you and play 3rd or 4th fiddle. Need to run some plays for him to get him engaged.
i get that offense can be up and down but rebounding is 90% desire. and GRIII has one rebound tonite; 1 against sparty and ZERO against wisky (5 against iowa). so 3 out of the last 4 he was invisible like the glass itself. dude needs to show a helluva lot more effort.
I agree but he seems to be the kind of guy who needs a push ... Get him involved in a few plays and that might help him on the defensive end
than what we are putting on the floor right now. Be nice to see GRIII really step into a game here soon, but very hard to argue with how these guys are playing as a team. Love to see Nik up his defense, and Caris decrease his turnovers. Both LeVert and Walton seem t have an awful lot of upside left to see.
Wtf did Oregon do to their floor?
I commented about that, way above in this thread. Yeah...pretty awful, eh?
Big foot took a shit on it.
Phil Knights money is not always spent wisely.
tonight, but these wins will pay huge dividends come seeding time in March and ensures we will be in the thick of the big ten regular season championship
McGary shout out
I think we can rest a few of our starters now ... Quick turnaround coming up
let's get the reserves some quality minutes...
played to perfection.. Too bad Purdue got the rebound.
come on ref
Don't be Northwestern.
14 now - let's get there
Balvenie Caribbean Cask, outstanding.
Love the way the team handle the full court press
Missing the front ends of 1 and 1s...
Birdboy with the foul
double post. sorry, hammered.
We have the toughest schedule the rest of the way
this Michigan team is great!!!!
Although Walton -> Morgan not working...
Average game. Good to get a win
So careless with the ball tonight.
So sloppy down the stretch. Wake up by Sunday.
Let's not play VCU this year
There is the effort rebound from Robinson and he is rewarded with FTs ...
Morgan with boulder hands for the third time...
CATCH the ball, Mr. Morgan
Old rock hands!
Sloppy but a win
Holy shit Pudue are dicks
game is over folks...
to the victors, valiant!
Good game - go blue
JB is gonna run them dudes this week.
We will likely lose at Indiana if we are as sloppy as we were tonight.
Have you watched Indiana play this season?
Yes, they're not good, but they're better than Purdue. Road wins aren't easy in this conference, and I think if we turn the ball over 16 times on the road, we lose.
Doesn't matter. That was crazy sloppy.
We've lost to plenty of crappy Indiana teams in Bloomington over the years.
And IU always has Duke level officials in that building. Last year, we got called for 2 fouls in the first 15 seconds of the game.
Can we please stop with these preemptive excuses regarding officials? Just play the damn game and stop bitching about calls before we even play. I see this stupid shit on this board about every good team we play on the road.
but a win is a win. Lots of good things to see out there, and still lots to improve upon as they go forward. Will have to play materially better than this to win in Indiana, where I expect the fouls to be more numerous.
Uh, hey Purdue, the game is over. Chill the fuck out.
Asshole - asshole - asshole
got the message across
I love this basketball team!
10 in a row, and undefeated in the B1G!
back home with this man tonight?
Didn't think so!
Can you believe Stauskas was leading scorer - but only hit 1 of 3 from downtown?
16 turnovers? It's a good thing our off night was against purdue ...
75-66 is your final from Ann Arbor.
Terrible. Also Purdue are assholes. Should have gone for the three at the end.
In the predictions thread I said we would win by single digits... That is all
Nice win despite what had to be a season high in turnovers and a horrid night defending the the paint. Thank GOD the shooting was hot.
61% shooting on the night. Incredible. Imagine how good they'd be if they hadn't turned the ball over 800 times.
Also THJ with 29 points for the Knicks tonight. Beilein über alles.
THJ had himself a night!
Good thing we played Purdue tonight. If they would have fed Hammonds all night we'd have been toast. Big men please Coach.
the big man you so crave is on the bench with back surgery. his replacements have been playing pretty well.
but hey, keep up with the campaign. no doubt when JB swings by this thread, he'll be sure to recruit some better bigs thanks to your (constant) tips
you seem fun.
against IU. Let's do the thingy where we don't turn it over 16 times
Snowflake: don't turn the ball over. Make free throws.
You're going to have sloppy games during the course of a long season. This is the type of game this team would have lost a couple of years ago. They found a way to win....on to the next one!
the good...No letdown after a emotional 3 game stretch. For the most part M controlled the game from start to finish..In a week where road teams have pulled upsets we held serve ..AND it was a very balanced attack with something like 14 out of 16 or 17 possesions with a score..(end of first half beginning of second to put the game away)..WOW....
the bad...sloppy at times but not enough to jeopardize the game..we need more killer instinct
the ugly..I know Jordan Morgan is giving 110%..but you think after like 7 years hed be able to CATCH THE BALL...Morford though has really done whats been asked of them and they have been key to this run so Im going to give him a pass...
NOW.............can we get out of Bloomington with a win in a place that has been a house of horrors for M...we exorcised the Badger and Spartan demons I think its time to exorcise the Bloomington demons!!!!!!..M has to bring their A game and I think they will
but if we make our free throws in the last 3 minutes my prediction of 80-65 would've likely been spot on.
Sloppy game, but no one can deny this this is a very, very good team.
Let's wipe the floor with Crean's face on Super Bowl Sunday.
I like the fact that we won despite porous interior defense and turnovers. We are very efficient offensively. Side note, if Hammons had a motor he would be a beast.
be in the NBA right now.
Hammons has improved as a soph. much like Nik and Levert. His demeanor and body have improved. No way he could've entered the draft after his freshman campaign.
emotionally and in execution was to be expected given the 3 game stretch Michigan just played and the way they played it.
They totally controlled this game despite not playing their best. So what.
Honestly outside of Vonleh no one on Indiana scares me. Walton can check Berra...er Ferrell. Helps that Cream is an awful coach
Definitely played a little slow and sloppy. Caris stepped up, Robinson didn't - I hope he can get consistent soon!! I don't really think Hammons' dunk on Stauskas was a big deal. Loved the win the game sign behind our bench :) So anxious for Sunday!!!
