I think LLP gets in over Vogrich, but other than that I agree with the production. Nowadays I can never get enough basketball predictions...

I don't know about that, I think that Vogrich is really going to break out in the big10 season as a very, very valuable spot up shooter off the bench. And I don't think that Morris is going to take many minutes off as the season progresses. But he's just a freshman, mistkaes will be made, and LLP will have his games.

I except Gibson to back up at PF also (him and Sims on the floor at the same time). I think Cronin might get more time than Wright and I don't think Akunne will get any significant time. We'll probably just go with a 10 man rotation, more like 8 with the last two (Cronin and Wright) getting a little time each game. LLP might start with more time than Vogrich but that could change later in the season.

If Gibson and Sims are on the floor at the same time, Gibson is at the five, Sims is at the four. Other than that though, I couldn't agree more.
- Akunne probably is going to play at all in important games (but I didn't want to list him as an insignificant walk-on).
- Cronin and Wright are probably more or less out of the seven to eight man rotation once serious competition begins.
- LLP probably does get more time than Vogrich to start the season, but as he and Morris gain experience, LLP's minutes will dwindle. (who knows though, he could break out as a shooter??)

Has Beilein said that these two are redshirting or is it just speculation? Merci.

Barring total disaster, they are redshirting. It was reported by Rothstein at annarbor.com today.

I personally like having an LLP, Douglass, and Vogrich rotation at SG. This way, Douglass can also back up Morris at PG (from what I saw last year, I think that Douglass is probably a better passer). This enables a more stable rotation in terms of the passing game.
That said, if Douglass comes out of the gate with a significantly better shot than LLP, I'd like to keep him in the starting rotation. Although to be fair, I think we can all see LLP and Douglass getting significant playing time each game, so it might not really matter who starts on any given night.

I know it's way too early, and we've got one heck of a season to look forward to here, but I thought I'd mention this (go ahead and neg me)...I was just talking about how jacked up I was for this season, and my friend mentioned to me how jacked up he was for NEXT season as well. At first I thought he was crazy, but then again, if Manny returns.
C: Cronin, McLimans
PF: Novak, Smotrycz, Morgan
SF: Ziegler?, Vogrich, Wright
SG: Harris, Douglass, Hardaway
PG: Morris, Lucas-Perry, Akunne
Man oh man. If Smotrycz can put on 20lbs and play center...or if Cronin steps up, we could be just as good, if not better, next season!

It would be nice to have Manny another year, but I think he and Sims go pro together. Those two are boys. They decided jointly to stay another year, and in all likelihood they'll leave together as well.

1. Morris>Douglas
2. Lucas-Perry>Douglas
3. Harris>Novak
4. Novak>Gibson
5. Sims>Cronin
Wright and Vogrich probably get a few minutes at the 2/3...looks like a 10 man rotation.

beilein stated that llp is the backup point guard. i'm guessing that means he won't be starting at shooting guard.

Gibson should see significant minutes at Center. Dude played well at the end of the year...
November 13th, 2009 at 12:45 AM ^
...just for the faces he makes, if nothing else.
