Baseball sweeps the spartans for the first time since 2008!

Today Michigan knocked off state up at McLane in the Road-Home-Road series this weekend. This is Michigan's first series sweep of them since the 2008 season when Michigan won the B1G Championship.

They dominated the series winning all 3 games by at least 3 runs. (6-3, 5-1, 6-2). Was at the game at RFS yesterday and you can tell the Michigan swagger is back.

For a program that has been in bad shape the last two years, 16-14 overall and 4-2 in the B1G is pretty damn good. Next up for Michigan is a non-conference game with notre dame and then they host penn state for a Friday-Saturday-Sunday series.

Luckily for those going to the football spring game, the spring game starts at Noon. Then Lacrosse will host ohio at The Big House at 3:30pm following the spring game. And then head on over to RFS. First pitch against penn state Saturday is at 6:15pm.

This is Michigan's first series sweep of them since the 2008 season when Michigan won the B1G Championship.

That was actually the team's first series sweep of any Big Ten team since 2008.

Berenson, Beilein, Brady and now Bakich. Six straight wins now and the overall record might be better except for a number of close losses to really good baseball programs early in the season.

A sixth B—Barnes Arico—is off to a pretty good start with the women's basketball team.

And a slight correction to ChalmersE's post above, the baseball team has now won five straight, not six.
