Watched the whole thing on BTN. It was like a boxing match to start out.

Both teams went back and forth trading the lead before Michigan began to pull away.

Carmen Benedetti was the star of this game going 4-for-5 with 5 RBIs. Jackson Glines and Kendall Patrick both had solo home runs in this game.

Iowa is a damn good team so this was an impressive win after a tough shootout loss on Friday. Tomorrow's rubber game should be very interesting in more ways than one. It will be Bark at the Park Day where you bring your dog to the game!

Barring a meltdown out of nowhere, this team is into the B1G Tournament.

Very cool to have a lot of B1G teams ranked this year. There are even some college baseball writers that think Michigan has an outside shot at an NCAA at-large bid. If Michigan is going to get into the NCAA Tournament, it's probably going to have to be via at-large bid so it's best that they win as many games down the stretch here that they can.

If they can take tomorrow's game, that would be HUGE. The key thing is not dropping another game to a tomato can. They have 5 more games against those kinds of teams. Two mid-week games this week at Illinois-Chicago and at CMU and then their final B1G series of the year against an awful Northwestern team.

Those are all must-win games. They close the regular season at home against #12 Oklahoma State.

I was at the game on Friday. It's the first Michigan baseball game I've been to in years so obviously it's a tiny sample size but the Wolverines did not look good at all to me. A number of defensive lapses in the field, lots of ineffectual infield toppers with men on base, and the Hawkeyes hit the crap out of the ball. Good to know they could turn the tables. Too bad I missed Harbaugh.

OK then, why did you neg the OP about a Michigan baseball win but not have the balls to make any comment until I mentioned it?

What exactly is it about a Michigan baseball victory that you dislike?

I know you have absolutely no curiosity why somebody would go out of their way to neg an innocuous post about a Michigan athletic victory on a blog that only exists to cover Michigan sports, because that's your aggressively dismissive I'm-a-worldly-wise-cynic-but-everybody-else-is-a-silly-douchebag persona here. Me, I'm curious.

Just for argument's sake, if a post with no words bothers you so much, wouldn't it make more sense to let the OP know your opinion, so perhaps he could do things differently the next time?
