Baseball at Louisville: NCAA Louisville Regional

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

After pounding regional 2 seed Bradley yesterday, 10-5, Michigan has a much more difficult task today.

Michigan will play regional host Louisville who is the No. 3 national seed in the NCAA Tournament. The game is expected to have a crowd of over 6,000 as Louisville's game last night against Morehead State had that many.

Bradley won the early game today 9-4, eliminating Morehead State and advancing to the second elimination game.

This certainly isn't the first time this Michigan team has faced steep odds. In the B1G Tournament, they knocked off #4 Illinois who had won of 27 of their previous 28 games.

Michigan is arguably the hottest team in the nation right now. Let's see if they can duplicate the magic of the 2007 Nashville Regional where they upset 1 Vanderbilt to win it.

First pitch is at 4pm.

Game is on ESPN3.

People are getting a little greedy here.

This team wasn't even supposed to make the NCAA Tournament and they beat three ranked teams in their last seven games to get there.

They won an NCAA Tournament game and have a chance to win another tomorrow. Louisville is a very good team so people should be very encouraged by Michigan's play today.

If the ump wasn't blind, the game would be in extra innings at 3-3 right now. On the road, at the house of the 3 seed.
