Baseball at Louisville: NCAA Louisville Regional

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

After pounding regional 2 seed Bradley yesterday, 10-5, Michigan has a much more difficult task today.

Michigan will play regional host Louisville who is the No. 3 national seed in the NCAA Tournament. The game is expected to have a crowd of over 6,000 as Louisville's game last night against Morehead State had that many.

Bradley won the early game today 9-4, eliminating Morehead State and advancing to the second elimination game.

This certainly isn't the first time this Michigan team has faced steep odds. In the B1G Tournament, they knocked off #4 Illinois who had won of 27 of their previous 28 games.

Michigan is arguably the hottest team in the nation right now. Let's see if they can duplicate the magic of the 2007 Nashville Regional where they upset 1 Vanderbilt to win it.

First pitch is at 4pm.

Game is on ESPN3.

I wonder when the director is going to tell this announcer that "irregardless" isn't a word . .   He has used it at least twice now . . .  :)

Okay, it was unorthodox, but we've got a runner on second!  2 outs in the bottom of the 7th, need a big hit to tie the game here.

I'm thrilled for the softball team, but right now I'm really down. Worked all day (no, I do not normally work on Saturdays), watched the Rangers play horrible hockey last night to fall in game 7, and now this lack of run support and Lville taking advantage. I REALLY hope this team pull this one out.

Bryan Pall relieves Adcock.

I wish these announcers knew how to pronounce names.
