BASEBALL: Krantz breaks thumb, too

Submitted by formerlyanonymous on

Daily reported on the Krantz injury from over the weekend. It's a broken thumb. ARGH! That's the second outfielder we've lost to one of those.

Meanwhile, the team’s bad luck with thumbs continued this weekend. Redshirt freshman Kevin Krantz, who was one of a host of players attempting to replace LaMarre in the lineup, fractured his thumb in the fourth inning.

Krantz will see a hand specialist to determine whether he needs surgery. It is unknown how long he will be out until he receives that evaluation.

I think we see Kittle in left until he goes cold.

Article also has Katzman starting today (that was updated in my EMU preview yesterday afternoon), and LaMarre looking less likely for the Indiana series, which was the word overheard over the weekend. I think we see him break into the lineup at home rather than the road.

Krantz would break his thumb. He feels this need to be the cool kid, and LaMarre is the coolest of the cool kids. Clearly if LaMarre is doing it, everyone should do it.
