Baseball Hello: Will Tribucher
Not to be left out of the commit frenzy, the Michigan baseball staff scored again on Thursday, landing another West Coast 2015 prospect: Will Tribucher, a 6-3, 190-lb. left-handed pitcher attending San Clemente H.S. He's the second player from California to commit to the Wolverines in as many weeks, following in the footsteps of Troy Miller (see Hello post), a right-handed pitcher out of Soquel H.S. in Soquel, California. Both Tribucher and Miller were invited to participate in the prestigious Area Code Games, being held this week in Long Beach with about 240 invitees from around the country. A third 2015 commit for U-M, Charlie Donovan, a shortstop from the Chicago area, was also selected to participate.
Unfortunately, there's little scouting info out there on Tribucher. Perhaps something will come up this week based on his play at the Area Code Games. I did find some vidoes, and I'll post one of them in a reply.

This is video from Tribucher's tryout for the Area Code Games. Scouting report, anyone?
He has a pretty effortless delivery...the ball jumps out of his hand. Some guys have to but maximum effort into throwing hard, but that doesn't seem to be the case with Tribucher. He fights his front side a little bit, but I'm sure the coaching staff will be able to clean that up. Pretty sharp curve ball when he stays on top, but will need to throw it with much more consistency in the future. Looks like he threw a few really good two-seamers.

That arm slot will be tough on left-handed batters and the 2-seamer had some filthy tail. Is it okay to say filthy tail?

- Ako Thomas – 5-7 2B/MIF, #19 in IL, #86 overall (Hello post)
- Will Tribucher – 6-3 LHP (from CA)
*Hello post is Ace's from the front page. David will be on a football scholarship, but he evidently also plans to play baseball at Michigan.
I've never said players in California aren't scouted. Perfect Game, for example, covers the entire nation. They have a page on Tribucher, which currently does not have a scouting report on him. They might add one following the Area Code Games.
Even Prep Baseball Report does some national coverage; they recently hired Nathan Rode away from Baseball America to be their national supervisor. He's been providing reports this week from the Area Code Games.
But specifically with regard to Tribucher, I searched the Internet and found little information on him. If you know of a source with a scouting report on him, please post it.
Raoul doesn't need me to stand up for him but why dog him out like that?
Heis one of the only people on this board that provides baseball recruiting/player info and his input is really appreciated by most around here (except the turd that down votes non-revenue sports threads).
And thanks to those who provided their own scouting reports in this thread. Much appreciated!

Am I the only one that wished his name was spelled with an e instead of an i? Talk about the perfect name for a pitcher...

Area code games? Sounds interesting. I would watch them but I have tons of work to finish. I have to call my Danish colleagues, I use this listing https://areaphonecodes.com/denmark/ of their area codes. But I just can't find free time on games.
