Why the hell do we want to bench him if he's kicking ass? Oh wait, I get it now.

When Berset graduates, Crank is apparently just as good. There should be no drop-off at catcher next year.

Crank has the potential. He hasn't quite reached what Berset has, especially on defense. There's a noticable difference on his blocking skills. Offensively, he's shown what he's capable of, but he needs to sustain that over an entire season. Crank has been carried quite a bit from his early season stats, but he's just a sophomore. Lots of time to build up.

If you read my comments I made right after publishing, he hasn't thrown out 20 of 23. He's thrown out 20 of 43. That's 23 safe.
Well that's not as awesome, but it does make more sense.
Yeah. I can't blame the Daily. Some stats list attempts, some list caught stealing. I sometimes glance over and get that level of shock value for half a second before I check. It's still VERY VERY good for the college game. Of the other catchers on the Rivals Power Rankings, only one or two have anything close to that. Micah Gibbs, who the media slobbers all over, is hitting well for LSU, but he's thrown out like 7 out of 42 base runners with no pick offs.
It also doesnt help that they list 23 as "SBA". Is that Stolen Bases Allowed or Stolen Base Attempts. I think that's probably the culprit.
