Baseball beats Bradley 10-5 in NCAA Regional Opening Round

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Michigan plays their first NCAA Tournament game in seven long years at 2pm.

Michigan (37-23) takes on Bradley (35-19) in the Opening Round of the NCAA Louisville Regional.

The last time Michigan played in an NCAA Tournament game away from home, they won the 2007 NCAA Nashville Regional to advance to the Super Regionals for the first and only time ever.

First pitch is at 2pm.

Game is on ESPN3.

edit: Kendall Patrick. That is all.

See you tomorrow at 4pm.

How many teams make the NCAA tourney?  I know I'm horribly behind on this.  But the bandwagon is driving through town and I need to chase it and jump on

Then, 8 Super Regionals with a best out of 3 matchup of 2 teams. Winners advance to Omaha. Since moving to the south, I have come to love college baseball, NASCAR...not so much.

By the way, will also be cheering for my alma mater, College of Charleston. Go Cougars!

So Bradley finished 3rd in a strong Missouri Valley behind Missouri State and Dallas Baptist (both top 15).. and Bradley is top 25 RPI. Do we know what to watch for?

Someone explain to me why the pop up to the catcher was not caught. Is this really what college baseball looks like now?

Sac fly scores a Bradley runner. Down 1-0.

Long game. Just some nerves out there.

The pitcher usually shouldn't catch a popup. But in that situation, the pitcher has to catch that ball. Much easier for him to do so rather then the 1st or 3rd baseman catching it on the run or the catcher trying to catch it backwards. And now it's just cost them a run.
