Grand rapids or do you mean kentwood? In either case, no, I haven't visited. But I've driven past the one in Kentwood; looks nice. Note: I can neither confirm nor deny whether mike keeps a pack of wolves at that particular location, so be on your best behavior.

Anyway, I hadn't heard that Barwis was opening a facility here on the west side. I am thrilled and terrified at the same time. Do you know where it's located?

Kentwood is part of metro GR and very few people outside western MI have ever heard of Kentwood ... so GR is the correct reference by the OP

I get tired of explaining where Kentwood is, so I just say GR. I'm actually in that weird part where you're a stone's throw away from Wyoming, GR, Gaines twp (does that even exist?) and Cutlerville.
That's badass that Barwis has a facility here. Might have to check it out one day.

chiropractic/physical therapy practice for a few months and it's been going well. I didn't realize they had such a huge gym in the back. It seems like these practices simply share space in the building and partner with Barwis but are not otherwise related.

yea they are just seperate business owners that work in collaboration since their practices are very closely related. PT or chiropractics ultimate goal is to have patients strengthen and stabilize on their own to prevent the injury or pain in the first place. I know they have been training for a while. I heard they've trained some local football teams as well. West Catholic is one of them.

that would be terrific. Good for him!

I'm a member at the Plymouth location. The sessions are the defintion of an ass kicking.

Speed & Agility portion of the program if you are familiar with it. My 16 year old son is looking for a program. He is visiting MVP tonight. Knowing Barwis' reputation, I'd love for him to at least go and check his program out.

I've been receiving personal training there for the past month or so. I'm focusing on improving overall strength, cardio endurance and flexibility. I've noticed a huge difference so far. Each session is brutal and exhausting. I highly recommend buying one session to see how your son likes it before investing in a package. I guarantee he'll reach his goals with their coaching.

tomorrow at 4:00 pm they will be running a speed and agility session for high school athletes. I would suggest taking a look at it before commiting to MVP's. Much better facility!

Both for the info! Just had my son read your comments and reviewed Barwis' program with him and he is jacked. Thanks again!

I don't work out at their facility. However, I have been using his plans for a while now. They are exhausting, but they have given me the greatest strength gains and best fitness I've ever had (and I've tried a lot of plans). Furthermore, I have a few friends that play various professional sports, and they swear by Barwis. I would definitely recommend him, and wish I were as lucky as you to be in the GR area.
