Michigan is up to 8th in the Pairwise. MSU moved down to T-55th. Which makes next weekend's series so important to win. Hopefully Michigan can take some momentum in to January after winning the GLI like they did last year.

Michigan picked up at least 1, possibly two OOC bonus wins for PWR in the GLI if Northern can get their shit together and become a team under consideration. In the weaker (than last year) WCHA, that's possible. Not playing State in the championship is probably the best thing that could have happened, PWR wise. Racine looked, dare I say, good?, and Kyle Connor is continuing his Larkin-esque debut. Also this holiday break, Robert Morris won their holiday tournament, so that'll boost their resume and potentially add another OOC scalp for our PWR sheet.
If Michigan can win the B1G regular season, we probably will be an at-large team going into the B1G tourney with a championship game loss to burn.

when Michigan won 9 of these in a row. At the beginning of that era they were calling it the Ron Mason Invitational.
