Football Display Case
i find this extremely interesting
i may have altered the title
i thought this was america
like I said on twitter: that was almost as intense as Iowa NIT games
...talks about how UConn hasn't been in contact and how they're out. (HT: UMHoops)
Jalen, Burke, and Simmons.
Mike Hart the heavy favorite in the trolling competition
just what the Pistons need: a third string center. Joe Dumars was replaced by a mean ol' alien a few years back you guys.
this would be a close approximation of hypothetical graduation speech
no you guys they're just super pumped about COLLLLLLLLLLLLEGE
not a surprise
premature congrats. One thing we can be sure of: he'll take fewer asinine penalties than Abdelkader
Thanks to ugly transitions between Fulmer/Kiffin/Dooley/Davis, Tennessee is on the edge of APR penalties for football.
i approve of this message
Here is a video I took from the field. Enjoy (it was a lot louder than it sounds in the video!)
Convinced.... We have totally been visited from life outside of this galaxy!!! Amazing!!!
With really crazy hair, do you?

How big is that thing?
Commercial-airliner big. Wider, by a lot, than a 737. Almost as big as a 747. Nothing like a fighter jet. Almost indescribably awesome. I've seen maybe a half-dozen B-2 flyovers, including at the Chicago airshow (from the perspective of a high-rise looking at Lake Michigan which is an amazing way to view low-flying military aircraft), and it is the star of every show I have ever witnessed.
I vote for a massive pos-bang of the OP; nice video.
I did some more research, and boy, let me tell you, military technology is quite remarkable. Take this YouTube.com video for example: "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIXtcCHbOCQ". You can see 80, 500 lb JDAM bombs dropped from a single B2, each hitting their intended target on the ground. Essentially, one aircraft could take out 80 basketball court-sized targets in one pass. Anothing thing many people don't consider is that the United States is one of the select (if not only) countries who have the resources to train regularly with live ammo, which makes the force much more prepared than even the next highest spender (China).

Yes but, Herm, how do it stay in the air??
Disgruntled former moderator. I got a lot of problems with you people!
Age has its benefits.
That's what she said.
And believe it or not, it's wider than it is long.
Intensity is a lot of guys that run fast.
I dug the 2 Medi-vac choppers, although I thought they were a little anti-climatic for a flyover. And then.......
Pure Columbian bad ass.
The flyover was the highlight of the game!
The entire pre-game festivities were awesome culminating with that beautiful piece of machinery making an appearance!
Good thing you weren't an anti-aircraft gunner in the Big One.
It's shaking cuz I suck as a photographer AND it wa on full zoom mode.
with the batwing and Michigan flag in the background would be awesome. Thank you USAF.
Here is a possible Desktop. Unfortuantely I don't have a good pic of both the bomber and the flag. As the bomber focuses in, the flag disappears. So, this is the best I got.
Here is a Michigan flag.
I didn't expect much from the flyover ("it's just a plane") but I was absolutely blown away. I just sat there in awe as this absolutely massive, fast, absurdly flat and beautiful chunk of undetectable metal flew over me. Great stuff.
COYS and Vive Le Rouge of Detroit FC!
Then how did you see it? :-)
The same way we "see" Denard: We feel a disturbance in the atmosphere, we see some kind of blur, then we observe a path of destruction and detritus that tells us where he has been.
Go America. That is some awesome stuff.
1st time I ever saw one of those things was at EAA Airventure in Oshkosk, Wisconsin. At the time I believe it was the 1st "public" airshow flyover that it had done. I tell you that thing was SILENT (it was flying pretty high to begin with) but man was it awesome.
Blue is Faster
The best flyover I've ever seen was before the 2004 Rose Bowl when they had both a B2 AND a B1 and two F117 (the Stealth fighter). We saw them in the Pasadena hills on our way to the game and they were truly a sight to behold.
Did you guys notice yesterday you couldnt hear the B2 until after it was past you? If you were on the business end of a bombing run you'd only know it was there after it became a very bad day.
Try not to become a man of success but rather to become a man of value.
(1:07 for the suck-its)
"Do not disturb my circles."
The first B-2 flyover was at the Big Chill.
Anyone have a video of yesterday's bald eagle "fly-in?" It landed right in front of us in section 4. Better than skydivers or even rocket man.
“When your team is winning, be ready to be tough, because winning can make you soft. On the other hand, when your team is losing, stick by them. Keep believing”
The bald eagle plus another view of the B-2 from Section 6, Row 11.
That just gave me chills. Thanks for posting it!
As cool as the B-2 flyover was, I have been at many events, the Rose Bowl, Indy 500, air shows, etc. where B-2's did flyovers.
I have never been at any event where we had an eagle fly around the venue. Very, very cool and very impressive watching that amazing bird fly around the Big House. The Bald Eagle has been on the seal of the United States since 1782.
That is very impressive. More than $1 billion plane flying over. Glad that our brave men and women of the Air Force fly these things.
If communism hadn't existed, that awesome machine—and virtually every single plane in our Air Force—wouldn't have been developed. Our air shows would consist of Piper Cubs and Beechcraft Bonanazas doing flybys at 100mph. You should thank Nikita Kruschev and Leonid Brezhnev, pal.
Woo hoo communism!! Wait...umm nevermind.
The falcon (or was it a bald eagle?) that flew down to the field was also very cool to see.
But there was a bald head in the B2 video!
expect the best
Saw two uniformed AF guys with falcons on their arm on stadium before the game
I have a Fandom Endurance III merit badge
To who it may concern, the B-2's callsign was Reaper 1-1.
Photography Facebook Page. Lots of Michigan sports photos. And planes, lots of planes:
I and several guys around me gave it a call sign, as it passed over. That call sign?
"HOLY SHIT! That's Awesome!"
I live in Saline and the B-2 was making a few approach runs. It was turning south almost exactly where I live (on the south west part of town) and it flew right over my house. The same thing happened last year during the F-14 flyover for the Nebraska Game. Got some shots of the B-2 almost right over my house. It is amazing how quiet that plane is. Just glad that they are on our side...
Here are the pictures via flickr that I took from Saline:
Those were F-16s. We don't fly F-14 Tomcats anymore.
those days are over.."Your my eyes Goose "
Go Blue !!
Some amazing profile views - shows how "short" the plane is
Nice shots dude. It is amazing how little of that massive machine is visible at certain angles. AMURRICA!!!
The one w/ the B-2 visible in the distance between tree branches and leaves is awesome. That is an ominous sight when not expecting it.
Any future plans for the rest of the year?
UM vs osu 2011 bring your keys and make noise (get it keys!)
