B1G Title - Remaining schedule analysis

http://btn.com/2012/02/11/its-on-msus-win-opens-up-big-ten-title-race/

Great post by Brent Yarina on BTN.com on remaining schedules of Michigan, Wisconsin, MSU and Ohio. We have the easiest remaning schedule, with oppponents having a 0.464 winning percentage.

We win our games, especially Ohio @ home, and we'll have a  great chance of winning our first Big Ten regular season championship (shared or unshared WHO CARES!) since 1986. That is HUGE.

call me crazy, but I think Ohio losing makes them a tougher task next saturday. they had seemed a lock for a 1-seed in the tourney, now we'll face them 2 games after an upset... they'll be looking to prove themselves again. but hey, i guess that will make it even better when we win.

I think we have a very good shot at winning against Ohio at home. With Gameday being in Ann Arbor, the Burke/Sullinger deal, and an over capacity Crisler Are---Center - it is going to be loud and crazy in there. If we win...I hope our players pull a Mizzou and tell fans to stay off the court. We tryin to protect home court - let's keep it clean.

It's the games on the road I worry about. NW will be looking for some revenge after some 5050 calls went against them in OT. Penn State? Uhh..hey it's a road game. Hopefully after watching the game tonight Coach B and the players realize that the championship is in sight and that prevents any let downs on the road.

We should go at least 12-6 in B1G play which should get us a good seed for the B1G tourney. Making noise there could be huge for seeding. I'd say we're a 3-6 seed if we close solidly.

I just noticed that ESPN is missing the Indiana at Minnesota game on 2/26, in case anyone else is tracking all the remaining games in the B1G.  It's likely not a game that will matter for conference champ or 1st round bye, though (I'll predict them with 7 conference losses and 5th place) - surprising, considering how hot Indiana was earlier in the season.
