Somehow, in 2015, the B1G is unable to televise, or even live stream, a tournament championshiop.  I'm sure they'll say that they aren't able to get camera crews to the event, despite it being held just outside the 3rd largest city in the country.

One day, there will be a Michigan sports TV network similar to Longhorn Network. Except it will be digital and will come once cable inevitably falls. And it will carry all Michigan sporting events. Like Tennis.

Great start for the maize and blue! They win an extremely close doubles point (two of the three matches decided in tiebreaks), and now only need to win 3/6 singles matches to win the Big Ten Tourney!

Michigan takes 2 of the 3 doubles matches (all 3 went down to the wire) to take the 1-0 lead in the match.

Michigan is #12 in the nation with a 23-3 record; Ohio State is ranked #18 at 20-5.  The last time these two teams met, Michigan won 5 of the 6 singles points plus the doubles point for the 6-1 win.  Michigan needs 3 of the 6 singles points today to bring home the championship.

It's been a very long time since Michigan Athletics has won a B1G Tournament.

You have to go back to 2010 when Men's Soccer and Field Hockey both won their B1G Tournaments on the same day.

I guess they are one meet tournaments, that's kind of a semantic point you're making.

The fact is Michigan gym won the regular season championship and after that reg season schedule was over they had a seperate league championship which was determined by the teams competing in a championship meet.

This is from the Mgoblue story on the reg season title:

"With the win, Michigan captures the 2015 Big Ten regular-season championship and earns a berth into the second session for next Saturday's Big Ten Championships at Crisler Center."

BIg Ten reg season champs, then on to the Big Ten Championships, which they also won.

I have lived in Georgia since 1980. When I heard about the big ten network I was sure I would never miss any playoffs or championships that weren't on other sports channels. They have never failed to let me down. .especially sports like softball, tennis, wrestling and swimming. ..

Michigan wins the first set in 5 of the 6 singles matches--every court except for #5, which is also the one point Ohio State took in the meet a couple of weeks ago.

They just need to hold on to win at least 3 of those 5.

Michigan now leads 3-0 thanks to wins at the #1 and #2 positions! The other four singles matches are all about midway through the second set! Just need one more win!

Michigan wins the Big Ten Tourney with a win at #4! Will now wait until Tuesday to see the regional pairings, and Michigan should be hosting since they should still be ranked in the top 16 when ranking come out on Monday!!

After 10 straight years of losing in the championship match, Michigan FINALLY comes through and wins the B1G Tournament.

The first in program history. 6 straight B1G Championships and now a B1G Tournament Championship.

Finally, Michigan wears the tournament crown!  It was a long & frustrating wait - I'm sure much more so for the coaching staff and players - during much of which we've been obviously the best team in the conference, but not able to clinch the tournament title.  Now finally we've got that as well, a school-record winning streak, and are poised to make a nice NCAA run as well.  One of the best years in program history already - here's hoping it becomes THE best!

May this ending of the B1G Tournament title drought in Michigan Athletics open the floodgates for more B1G Tournament Championships across all Michigan sports in addition to B1G Regular Season Championships.
