B1G News and Notes
A semi-weekly type of thing I get to if there's enough stories to post, so I found three recent ones that I can't seem to find on the board, so without further ado...
Ohio State will be without H-back Dontre Wilson's services for "a few weeks" with a broken foot. Hard to say if he'll be back for The Game, but he was supposedly establishing himself as a producer on offense.

And of course, who could forget this little gem:
Next, seems like NW's Collin Ellis is going to retire due to the multiple concussions he's received over his career. A redshirt senior, Ellis suffered his most recent one on October 11 vs Minny. Best of luck to him.

Finally, Nebraska's Heisman Trophy candidate RB, Ameer Abdullah, has been having some tough times with a sprained MCL in his left knee. Bo Pelini seems very conservative and very uncommitted to his expectations on Abdullah's return. "I don't know how its going to play out," he said on Monday. Since WE don't play him at all, best of luck to him as well.

The word out of Evanston (or, as the announcers called it, Evansville) is "Zzzzzzzzzzzz".

Edit: I made a dickish suggestion about formatting. It looks ike it has been fixed.
Thanks for the post, didn't know about the Dontre Wilson thing. Unlucky for him, but I guess that is one less person to worry about.

I saw it, for some reason my editing capabilities are being blocked by the firewall where I work, so I had to reaccomplish in another format, copy and paste. The video still didn't work though...

MSU was overrated.
Underclassmen on offense is a valid excuse for a total dumpster fire.
Oops, word out of Columbus is that second one was debunked.

It used to be that Michigan would get the bottom tier announcers maybe once a season. This year, our matchups and performance have warranted us getting the announcers that Indiana, Illinois and Northwestern usually get. These guys were terrible - mispronounced names, not knowing what down it was, not seeing the plays, false assumptions, etc. I guess maybe we are getting what we deserve.

are you talking about our coaches or the announcers
sorry to be so snarky today

away the Brittany Spears debacle a few years ago and Patrick is not all bad. I really think that the announcers were like "seriously ESPN 2 you are sending us to this game?!" The announcers mailed it in, that is how little people cared about the game.

The Plain Dealer, as you might expect, is on this - LINK
They actually bring a up a few names as possible replacements, including Jalin Marshall, Noah Brown, Evan Spencer and Nick Vannett. The article goes into some detail about how they might use Spencer and Marshall in particular, and of course, there is a smattering of Urban in there as well.

When I first saw Wilson playing for OSU last year, I kept confusing his name with ex-Tigers pitcher Dontrelle Willis.

I think he fumbled a punt return and dropped a sure touchdown pass against sparty. If that's the same guy, I hope he plays against us.

We WON. MSU lost, ND lost. Dantonio was even arrogant enough to guarantee a win and ended up falling on his sword. This was a GOOD weekend. Can't people ever just be happy? Save all the angst for the trip to Columbus.
