Not really a huge deal anyways...its a B1G bracket, and will be ignored by most.  Everyone knows who has the coolest helmets on the planet no matter how they vote.

We did pretty  well in the initial seeding per the Facebook Poll. The admittedly unscientific Legends Division results were:

Michigan - 723 votes

Iowa - 349 votes

Nebraska - 251 votes

Michigan State - 240 votes

Northwestern - 57 votes

Minnesota - 24 votes

So, Michigan took 45% of the Legends Division vote initially. Michigan helmet fans were definitely showing up.

This would be like having a which guy is the most popular contest between myself and Brad Pitt. Hint: I am not popular.

So I went and voted.  I voted for Indiana over ohio and lololololololol Indiana was winning by a bit at the time that I submitted my votes.

Voted for:

Michigan, Iowa, Indiana, and PSU in round 2.

How anyone other than Michigan could win this is beyond me. The only other helmet in America that might be considered by the general populace to be "better" is Notre Dame's.

Are stickers considered? I really like Ohio states helmets with buckeyes. Without they are boring, with they instantly become iconic. Not good enough to beat the wings though

I vote Penn State.  Their helmets are exquisitely detailed. Incidentally, they're the same as my high school's used to be; if you had to get a new one midseason, you just got plain white and applied your own strip of blue electrical tape..

Fluff article; fluff poll ... fills space until the season starts.

Now, that said ... setting aside home-team favoritism ... a case can easily be made that Michigan's helmet is the most iconic in all of college football.

The only other helmets that might be in the same ballpark would be USC, Texas, and for those who get into "simplicity" the helmets of Penn State and/or Alabama.  I flat reject Notre Dame's fancy-pants glitter helmet bullshit.  Maybe if they were still flat-gold and all battered up.  Maybe.

Second-tier helmets then stack up:  Florida, Florida State, Oklahoma, Oregon (recent addition) ... meh, then it becomes a blur.

But one helmet is instantly recognizable by any fan anywhere in the country: Michigan's.

As I said, the most iconic in all college football.  Bar none.

I think Bobby Bowden once said that the winged helmet was the best in college football.

I think it was 4 or 5 years ago that ESPN did one of those polls and the final was like Florida State v Alabama or something and Bowden (and other talking heads) said they all thought it was weird that Michigan could be left out or something to that effect

Edit: Man, I have impeccable memory

Several guys at the beginning (including Mike Gundy) say Michigan is best and then at 3:30 Bowden talks about Michigan saying "I was surprised they didn't win it". Boom
