B1G Hockey Championship Game
The pregame show is on, the beer is cold, its Saturday night now lets win this fucking thing and get back in the big tournament.
whats on the line: Michigan NEEDS to win to make it into the NCAA Tournament. Minnesota will make the tournament with a win and have a strong chance of advancing even with a loss (it is NOT a given as there is one scenario where they could be left out).
this game will come down to goaltending. Racine needs to keep up his good play at the Joe but Michigan will need to keep the pressure on Wilcox (who looked like the Wilcox of old last night with the shutout against Ohio State) and fight for the rebounds in the crease.
I'm not going to bring up the running theme of these threads thursday and friday because we all get it and expected it.

Brendan Morrison, who scored the overtime goal that won the national championship for the Michigan Wolverines last March, was named the Central Collegiate Hockey Association's player of the week after two goals in a 4-3 victory over Minnesota and three assists in the 8-4 triumph against Wisconsin. Both games were a part of the College Hockey Showcase at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.

Well... College hockey fans will wear their jerseys to any game, regardless of if their team is playing. Happens all the time at Yost. There used to be a guy who would wear a UIC jersey all the freaking time.
There's a lot of tourism in college hockey. You go to a frozen four and you'll see dozens of teams' jerseys that aren't there.
I was in Philly last year and saw 10-20 other Michigan jerseys there
You can walk around the concourse at the Frozen Four and see the jersey of pretty much every college hockey program that has ever existed. It's pretty amazing. I stopped counting at like 25 or 30 schools when I went.
