B1G Hockey Championship Game

Submitted by Canadian on

The pregame show is on, the beer is cold, its Saturday night now lets win this fucking thing and get back in the big tournament.

whats on the line: Michigan NEEDS to win to make it into the NCAA Tournament. Minnesota will make the tournament with a win and have a strong chance of advancing even with a loss (it is NOT a given as there is one scenario where they could be left out).

this game will come down to goaltending. Racine needs to keep up his good play at the Joe but Michigan will need to keep the pressure on Wilcox (who looked like the Wilcox of old last night with the shutout against Ohio State) and fight for the rebounds in the crease.

I'm not going to bring up the running theme of these threads thursday and friday because we all get it and expected it.

WIN THE GAME!!!

Much like several in years past, we've tried real hard at the very end and we gave ourselves some hope only to fall short because we failed too much before.

If Red wants to come back, whatever. We might be able to make the tournament next year. Hopefully Pearson will be on the bench in Ann Arbor within the next 2 years.

Welcome to the sad silence of the offseason everyone.

1973, but that's with an asterisk given the 10-0-1 Football team tying the #1 team in the country and getting robbed by B1G ADs of the Rose Bowl and that being the only B1G bowl bid back then.

Legitimately, it would've been 1962, so it's basically been 53 freakin' years since our major sports have been this underachieving.

If we play next year like we did this tournament, we'll be a tourney team next year. Red just has to get the team playing solid and inspired for a whole season. Not just for spurts.

He's gonna leave within one month or 13 months. The program is not being driven into the ground. There's still alot of talent, it's just underachieving. And Red is responsible for it. But I don't get the outrage and acting like we should be demanding Red retire now. Probably the same people that were pissed Hoke wasn't fired the day after the OSU game. Pearson is going to be candidate #1. How long do you think that phone call lasts if we make Red leave instead of letting him fulfill his contract?
