How will the B1G do in the bowl games? We are currently 2-1 out of 10 or 11 games. I predict 6-4. I'm not picking the spread.

12-30

Wisconsin-USC ( -3.5). USC win

12-31

MSU -Alabama (-10). Alabama Win

1-1

UofM-Fla(+4).

HARBAUGH!

OSU-ND(+6.5). OSU Win

NW-Tenn (-8). NW win

Iowa-Stanford(-6). HARBAUGH!

1-2

PSU-Georgia (-6.5). PSU win

Nebraska 37. UCLA 29. W

Minn 21 CMU 14. W

Indiana 41 Duke 44. L

If MSU beats Alabama, they win the national championship because nothing would take away more from a B1G resurgence more than having to listen to our Spartan friends for the next 20 years.

My predictions for the remaining games would be the same as what vegas has.  Winners are Michigan, Ohio State.  Losers are Wisc, MSU, NW, Iowa, PSU.

However, picks on the spreads:

USC (-3.5, and I would go heavy on this bet) They win 41-24........

Alabama (-10) Bama wins 28-13.......

Northwestern (+8) Tenn wins 24-20......

Florida (+4) Mich wins 20-17.......

ND (+6.5) OSU wins 31-27.....

Stanford (-6) Stanford wins 30-22......

PSU (+6.5) UGA wins 30-24........

but everything else looks about right, MSU/Bama game could be way more interesting than many people think.

I usually root for the B1G in Bowl Games no matter who it is, it's really tough for me to root for Bama or anything SEC.

It's stupid how they have the Fiesta Bowl at the same time as our game, I wish they had scheduled that game for Saturday or Monday Night or something.

I would hate watch the ND / OSU game so hard if it was on at a different time. As for my bowl predictions? As long as we win and MSU doesn't I'll be a happy man. Although I won't be watching the NYE games because it's NYE.

I don't see good fortune for much of the remaining B1G games. Many of them are not favorable match-up wise.

USC over Wisconsin 28-24

Alabama over MSU 35-17

Tennessee over Northwestern 27-21

Michigan over Florida 21-17

Ohio State over Notre Dame 30-17

Stanford over Iowa 34-21

Georgia over Penn State 34-24

Big Ten is currently 2-1 (wins by Minnesota and Nebraska, loss by Indiana) so I got the B1G finishing 4-6 overall.

Just realized if you take an UTL1 jersey and turn it inside out it looks exactly like jerseys from Penn State 2014.. Mind blown

I haven't run the numbers on this, but does it seem to anyone else that our conference is at a bit of a disadvantage in bowl games, because our teams tend to get matched with opponents who have had better seasons than the B1G team? My theory is that Big Ten teams generally have bigger and better traveling fan bases than most non-B1G schools. This means that bowls are more likely to select a marginal B1G team over a perhaps better qualified Pac-12 team, for example, because they know that the Big Ten fans will turn out in force. This results in our conference being more likely to be the underdog in bowl games than teams from most other conferences.

Am I crazy? Has anyone else noticed a similar pattern?

The B1G vs. SEC matchups have traditionally put us at a disadvantage --at least during the BCS days -- as more B1G teams seemed to get invited due to better traveling and/or the Rose trying to keep it to the traditional conferences when possible. This year doesn't seem as bad, with the exception that below to "top 3-4" (I am still a bit skeptical of Iowa) I don't think the conference was as strong top to bottom.

A meteor seems pretty harsh.  There will be lots of media, security, law enforcement, vendors, ushers, etc in attendance.  They don't deserve such a harsh fate just for showing up to work.

My best case scenario for that game:

1.  Pregame band performance, OSU tuba dude goes down with ACL injury just before getting to dot the i.  While going down, his tuba concusses the back-up i-dotter.  Bandmates just look at each other like "welp?"

2.  Urbz goes all Woody Hayes on a ND player, never coaches again.

3.  Due to a questionable penalty, Brian Kelly's head actually explodes, after years of close calls.

4.  As regulation time is about to expire, with a score of 0-0 and ample turnovers (sloppiest game in history), OSU has a WR streaking wide open, and a perfectly thrown pass collides with an unauthorized drone, falling incomplete.  Drone then malfunctions/swerves and smacks David Boston (standing on the sidelines near the endzone) square in the nards.  David Boston, in excrutiating pain, staggers around and vomits square on the face of the little douchy red-head ND leprechaun mascot.  Little douchy red-head ND leprechaun mascot, in full-tilt disgust, runs screaming into the kilted ND band douches, who then contract ebola (leprechaun had it).

5.  Game goes to the 11th OT, with no team able to score.  Players are collapsing from exhaustion and various other injuries (torn vulvas, sprained ovaries, etc) starting in OT number 7.

6.  Refs call the game at a 0-0 tie, with neither team able to find 11 players healthy enough to carry on.

7.  NCAA relegates both programs indefinitely.
