Iowa falls at Minny 95-89.

Minny led 80-67 with 8:30 left, then went into hibernation and watched Iowa chip away at the lead until it was only 82-80 Minny with 1:30 left after a Roy Devin Marble, old school three point play (tip in).

After two made free throws by Minny's scatback Diendre Mathieu, a Hawkeye airball three by Josh Olgesby, one-of-two Gopher made free throws by Andre Hollins, Iowa's Mike Gesell (NTG) cut the lead to three with a contested driving layup with 51 seconds left.

Minny's man-of-the-minute, 62% free-throw shooter Maurice Walker would take over from there, sandwiching a pair of one-and-one makes around a defensive rebound as Minny ended the game with a touch of breathing room.

Indiana at Wiscy is presently on ESPN.

on thursday, they could finish 10-8 and maybe fall to 6th place if Nebraska wins 3 of their last 4, giving us a potential semi matchup of OSU/nebraska and putting msu wisky and Iowa all on that side of the bracket

I can't believe Iowa went up to The Barn and lost; not a good one for them. I kept wondering how anyone could have Minnesota in the Tournament the past couple weeks but I suppose this W should vault them to the bubble. They really need to beat us Saturday night to solidify a spot in the First Four In™ vicinity so I hope we squander the hell out of those dreams. Does Indiana have any chance for the Dance?! I think not so much, but...

That was interesting game - Minnesota only outscored Iowa by 4 in the first half and then 2 in the second half.

Minnesota eFG% - 72.45%

Minnesota OREB% - 31.82%

Minnesota FTR - 59.18%

Iowa eFG% - 56.25%

Iowa OREB% - 37.14%

Iowa FTR - 34.38%

Iowa also had 13 TOs to Minnesota's 14 TOs.

Watching this IU-Wiscy game is giving me flashbacks of our game against UW in the B1G game last year. Ice cold in the first half, couldn't miss in the second half.
