This tournament format is garbage. Thank God it's going away next year.

The old one was fine. Why don't you do that but actually, oh I don't know, reward the B1G Champion by letting them host the tournament instead of putting it in an empty MLB park next year?

Also: Cole Martin on! RALLY

As far as I have heard, the tournament format isn't going anywhere.  Everything I have read indicates the Big Ten is keeping the 8-team "neutral" site format.

Next year's tournament will be in Minneapolis.

I love how nebraska fans think they're so special for getting ridiculous attendance numbers at sporting events like there's anything else to do in their state.

Ugh.

0-4 and what a wreck. 2 bases loaded walks score 2 runs. Those were both with 2 outs.

This is more for those not watching, but through eight innings, zero runs on three hits for Michigan, although we have been the recipient of two walks. Also of note are the six strikeouts. Kyle Kubat of Nebraska has had a rather nice outing indeed, just sadly against us today.

From 17-37 to a 30-win season.

Progress. BIG progress is being made. Once this team is older, look out. Those freshmen who struggled on that 17-37 disaster are now leaving things MUCH better.

A solid second season under Bakich as Michigan ends with a record of 30-29-1. The team should definitely be better next year, especially with the pitching in good shape with Hill, Adcock, Lehmann, and Cronenworth, among others, all coming back. How much better will depend to a great degree on who they lose to the draft from among the juniors and 2014 signees. But certainly Bakich has the program headed in the right direction.
