Looks solid for Michigan, would love to grab this kid.
Once we get him on campus and get RJS and others in his ear I think we'd have a good chance at landing him.

I'm not sure why everyone so venomously hates being called big blue. If enough people think that is the nickname, doesn't that make it a nickname?
Also, there was a post a couple of weeks ago with a link to a clip from Bob Ufer showing that he refered to Michigan as "big blue" on occasion. I think the opposition to the nickname "big blue", and the chest thumping involved in people basically posting "I know never to call Michigan big blue, so I'm a better fan than you" is pretty stupid.
Is the NY giants, uk wildcats or IBM. Ufer said a lot of crazy stuff so let's not use that as any evidence. The purpose of a nickname is to abbreviate and simplify a description, sharing a nickname with two other major sports organizations who both play football and a third gigantic corporation doesn't make anything any easier. Michigan can be the maize and blue, the wolverines or a bunch of other things, no need for big blue.
I mean, I appreciate the desire to have an original nickname, but noone is advocating "big blue" be the exclusive nickname on Michigan. If someone says "big blue" on this blog, its not really that difficult to know what they're talking about. The reasons you state above have nothing to do with the constant need to throw a hissy fit on this blog when someone says "big blue".
Yeah, I agree. To me, it makes no sense why everyone gets so butthurt over being called Big Blue.

Uhhh.. Well that's assuming a lot of things. 1) OSU likes Gant and offers him 2) Gant likes OSU more than UM and 3) Shumate or Wright like UM enough..
I don't see Gant leaving, but that's just me.

Devin Fuller visiting in July/August. He was talking about visiting Michigan this summer during a live chat. If things work out with him (or don't work out with a few others and we have a safety/qb spot open) he would be an incredible prospect for us to fill either the last Safety or open QB spot.
if he does commit to us that would be just huge...you have to take him...and i can see it now, we should be able to get a big time rb in 2013 if not 12 with the guys we will have coming in..its gonna be a great pitch for coaches to make telling them they'd be running behind these ol commits.....this is just an awesome time to be a michigan fan...go blue
What makes you think he stays out West? Just they theory that the top west talent tends to stay west? Having coaches just out of Cali could help.

I always feel strange following recruits on Twitter but TomVH and SupprtBradyHoke told me to follow him, so who am I to say no? I agree sending him tweets is over the top.

I think Pipkin will take the next DL spot after he visits at the end of the month/early August. Shittu had better hurry if he wants in.
to ND, and Wilson goes to PSU, and OBrien goes elsewhere and we get a commitment from Pipkins we could still have room for Shittu. If we pull out all the stops on this pipe organ and reel in Devin Fuller when he visits we could play him as a Safety and still list him in our qb depth. We're only looking for a qb for security at the moment so he could cover 2 positions worth of depth with only 1 scholarship, and the "qb" scholarship could then be available to Shittu. Shittu could feel up my class anyday.
