[Awesome, user generated] Michigan football iphone/droid wallpapers

I drew up a couple of iphone 5 wallpapers in case anyone feels like using them this holiday bowl season.  These are sized for an iphone 5 screen (1136x640 pixels), but I can re-size them to fit any mobile device.  They're pretty easy to make, so I can do more if anyone's dying to see their favorite Wolverine brought to life in shitty amateur art form.

Love them. That Flow is looking good. My favorite though is the Denard one, obviously. That image will be implanted in every Michigan fans mind forever.

Funny you should mention that.  As I was looking for one of my books last night I found a copy of USA Today from 2010 that had that photo of Denard on the cover of the sports section.  I will keep that forever

Very cool, thanks!  Any chance you could make one for the Denard kneel pose?  Always wanted to make a t-shirt with just the silhouette of him after a TD.

There's that one ... as you can see, I cheated with the coloration - the original photo is in the blue home jerseys, and I switched it to white because I like to keep his skin dark.  I might try it the other way around, but I feel like white Denard might look weird.

Also, funny you should mention shirts - that's why I was originally making these, as stencils for custom t-shirts.  (My family, if you're reading this, pretend you didn't see it - they're Christmas presents for you)  That's why I tried to keep the coloration as simple as possible.

Definitely.  It looks like the height is just 960 instead of 1136 ... I'm gonna try to find a way to simulate the lock screen widgets as placeholders in my graphics software - the clock on top & the slide lock on bottom - so I can work the player in properly between them.  I was doing it for real on my iphone 5 but I can't tinker with it like that for the 4 or 4s.  I'll play with it.

 

Ok, try some of these out for me.  See if they're fitting right on the iphone 4 ...

Cool, I modified the title ... is the Galaxy a droid phone?  I don't really know these things ... just upgraded from a dumb phone to an iphone a few weeks ago.

The Galaxy phones use Google's Android operating system. You can shorten android to "droid" but you might have to pay George Lucas some royalties to do so. At any rate, wallpapers are usually just wallpapers, and an image can typically be cropped in-phone to fit the phone's wallpaper size, and the ones you made are awesome, so most people should be aware that they can put them on their phones regardless of OS. 

Bottom line: excellent work! share with all!

I think you just touch & hold the image to bring up a little menu that lets you save it to your camera roll (on the iPhone). then from your photos you can select it & designate it as your wallpaper.
