Peters is pretty good that's for sure. The biggest flaw I have seen so far is that he stares down receivers. Also, the offense he plays in seems to be all shotgun. Have not seen him under center.

Yeah, he looks really really good. Release isn't that fast, but great under pressure, and pretty darn accurate. Also, you'd be stupid to run under center now a days in hog school unless you're running a flexbone triple option. Footwork is hard. Why make a high school kid learn it when you can de-emphasis it with the shotgun?

Yikes. Pick six for Peters which gave Davis the lead. Hit as he threw. No one picked up the rushing DE.

Aside from the pick 6, which came when peters got hit by an unblocked edge rusher, Peters played a really good game. 5 TDs through the air and 1 on the ground against the #1 team in the state.

Peters' only real mistake was not 'feeling' the pressure, which, eh.  Otherwise he was almost lights out.  I saw some stats tweeted out, and I watched the whole game I don't know who was keeping those stats, but I didn't think he even had that many incompletions.  He was great underpressure, accurate, good arm strength, read the defense well for the most part.  Performed much better than I expected against the #1 team in the state.

Honestly, much like Norfleet, I think Evans would fit better in ND's offense (provided Kelly doesn't bolt to the NFL).  He's that weird HB/WR that's not fully either, and that position doesn't really exist in the Harbaugh Stanford offenses.  It does is many spread systems.  But I'll still take him.  I have more confidence that Harbaugh will use him effectively, even if it's not even on offense.

not the best comparison.  norfleet was a 5'7" late signee who only projected to O / ST.

evans is what, like 5'11" 180 lbs?  some view him as WR or RB but im sure all see his potential value to ST units as returner or gunner.  plus evans could play DB (in my opinion) if hes groomed and sees enough reps (something norfleet could never do).

but youre right -even if unsure of his impact / position on O, hes a definite take, harbaugh and staff will figure it out (unlike some other nameless staffs).

evans has the size, agility and versatility that most programs covet.  michigan should sign several versatile 6'0" 180 lb type "athletes" each class and then sort them out over time in practice - signing too many stiff, specialist types who only project to 1 spot is recipe for disaster

Just left the game and couldn't be more impressed with Peters.

BD has 4500 kids and I expected Avon to be overmatched but Peters made some plays. Kid made all the throws.

Both teams are in the same sectional so hopefully this is part one of two.

Avon hosts Brownsburg two weeks from tonight. Their QB, Hunter Johnson just committed to Tennessee. Should be fun.
