Austin Davis Ratings Bump 247
Austin Davis has been bumped up to a 4*, #10 center and #82 overall by 247. The other services have not yet acted so his composite is lower. Coach Beilein way ahead of the curve as always.
Yesterday everyone said the balls predict Brown to UM but when I looked at the balls they all said UK.
Whose balls are you talking about?

I haven't looked
I haven't looked recently, but if I had to guess I'd say that all those ND crystal ball picks came prior to Michigan offering him. There were rumors that ND was one of a few major programs on the verge of offering Davis right before we swooped in.

Well...there was one of them. And Davis was pretty under the radar. Nothing like Brown. To be clear, I am not saying that Brown will come to Michigan because of the crystal balls, but this isn't a good one to argue.
ND heavily recruited Davis, along with Wisconsin

offered. From what I've read ND was leading prior to the Michigan offer.
There were rumblings that Davis might take a prep year and reclassify to 2017. How likely is that?
Slim to none

Is this from sources or anything? I had heard the same thing.
It's from Rivals. It'll depend on the roster and scholarship situation in a year or so.
Says who?

No.

Where are all the comments from people who rely on recruiting rankings to help them masquerade as know-it-alls? Go Beilein and Go Blue!
to the OP, when I click the link, I see that he is treated 182, not 82, by 247. thank you for the post though
That is the composite ranking from all services. 247's ranking is right below that.
thank you
Oh the classic bump from a Michigan recruit. I love this coaching staff.
... I don't give a damn about how 'scouting services' rate him... he may have even bumped up in the 'service rankings' due to the 'Beilein/Michigan effect' ... but it does not matter as JB has an eye for talent. Give us a whole class of 1 stars ... as long as JB has picked them!
Beilein wanting him should have been enough. There were some embarrassing posts when this kid committed. Hope he didn't / doesn't visit this forum.
The stupidest thing was every story commitment story mentioned how he was coming on strong, big schools were looking at him, and a recruiting bump was imminent.
It's amazing how people can still doubt coach B.
He heard, there was an mlive article. Embarrassing how some
Acted.

Well JB wanted Donnal, Colton Christian. Brundige and McLimans. That did not make them good players. Sure JB is right more than he is wrong but no coach bats a thousand

Hopefully, ala Chris Kaman, he will go from a relatively unheralded star from a small hight school...to leading his team to a conference championship...and being a first round pick in the NBA draft. We can always dream...
