Agreed, and yet, even with that credible sourced information, we've been wrong on a multitude of occassions. Recruiting is not logical, not for people who prefer certainty, and not safe to ride for children under 48".
January 9th, 2013 at 9:49 AM ^
If recruiting is not safe for kids under 48" in height, how did Rich Rodriguez recruit his receiver corp?
January 9th, 2013 at 10:01 AM ^
to you, my friend. Pow!
January 9th, 2013 at 9:35 AM ^
You never really know what's going to happen in recruiting. That being said, in the complete absence of any corroborating information this looks like trolling for page clicks.
January 9th, 2013 at 9:37 AM ^
No idea if this is true or not, and won't know until Green says so.
That said, there is no fan base as delusional as Auburn.

What is this Noter Dame you speak of?
January 9th, 2013 at 11:21 AM ^
She's a comely lass, and takes lots of notes.
January 9th, 2013 at 12:13 PM ^
Not 'er. Dere's a noter dame what beside 'er.

January 9th, 2013 at 9:55 AM ^
Since he hasn't committed anywhere is he also looking for reasons not to go to all those other places??
January 9th, 2013 at 10:04 AM ^
Auburn is actually more delusional than Notre Dame. Really...trust me.

Alabama wins with a great O line and a great RB year in and year out. They also put RB's in the NFL in the first round and alot of that is that O line. They are full at RB. Any thoughts on who has pulled in a huge O line haul the last 2 years that needs a RB and also will have a highly touted QB coming in. Green comes here and in 3 years he is a NFL 1st rounder.
January 9th, 2013 at 10:13 AM ^
Until his name is on that dotted line, i wouldn't count any team out.
January 9th, 2013 at 10:14 AM ^
I know this is how recruiting goes and I'm not trying to censor what people post etc. But, the only information left to be heard for on this subject is who he commits to. There is really nothing more I want to hear about Green. We know he's interested, we know he's a good fit, we know he likes our coaches, we know we have a shot. Anything other than him giving his verbal somewhere or signing his LOI is only frustrating at this point.
January 9th, 2013 at 11:49 AM ^
If there is nothing more you want to hear about Green, don't click links that are very clearly going to include more speculation.
January 9th, 2013 at 12:54 PM ^
It's like watching a car crash. No one wants to see the damage, but it's hard not to look when you know it's there.
January 9th, 2013 at 3:40 PM ^
You just need to admit to yourself that you can't help it and click. You don't need to hold up the pretense for our sake, believe me. A click will set you free.

I know I will be downvoted to Siberia for this, but lets learn from what happened with Garnett and not assume that Green is a lock just because he named Michigan as a slight leader...
January 9th, 2013 at 10:25 AM ^
for thinking you get downvoted to Siberia.
January 9th, 2013 at 10:44 AM ^
Siberia may very well be harsher than Bolivia... it is winter time...
January 9th, 2013 at 12:15 PM ^
Is fully possible to be a native Bolivian while in Siberia.
January 9th, 2013 at 12:31 PM ^
I imagine that person would be very cold...
January 9th, 2013 at 10:40 AM ^
I know I'll get upvoted to, um, Like Bikal? for this, but let's learn from what happened with Ondre Pipkins and assume that we're in very good shape because Michigan is a slight leader.
January 9th, 2013 at 10:49 AM ^
That's not a good comparison. By this time last year, the only people who thought Michigan led for Garnett were Michigan homers. Everyone else was saying Stanford. (People were more confident on Garnett earlier in the process, but that petered out).
January 9th, 2013 at 11:37 AM ^
I pretty sure that Garnett stated that Michigan had a slight lead all the way until the end, he even mentioned afterwards that he seriously thought that he would end up at Michigan, but wanted for his family to attend all his home games... There was a minority who thought he would go to Stanford due to proximity, and better weather and academics.
January 9th, 2013 at 11:48 AM ^
Going into NSD, every analyst at both Scout and Rivals predicted him to go to Stanford. Unless your info was solely based on MGoBoard material, I'm not sure where you're getting it from.
January 9th, 2013 at 12:01 PM ^
I am getting it from Garnett who was quoted to say that Michigan had a slight lead... analysts on Rivals and Scout also predicted that Diamond would end up at Michigan, so lets not pump them up too much...
January 9th, 2013 at 10:29 AM ^
I didn't see him posing in pictures with Auburn recruits. Thats all I have to say about that.
January 9th, 2013 at 10:33 AM ^
Maybe the joke is on me, but you linked to a twitter feed from "Eagle Damn War".
Seems to me that someone we know is just stirring the pot...

January 9th, 2013 at 10:47 AM ^
Yeah, besause that's how this "following recruiting" thing works. We don't talk about anyone until and unless they commit somewhere...
January 9th, 2013 at 10:43 AM ^
We've seen quite a few recruits from all over the country who were very unlikely to choose Auburn suddenly change their mind for no real reason what so ever. The bottom line is Auburn pays better (semi allegedly).
January 9th, 2013 at 10:46 AM ^
Someone wake me when its signing day, until that day ill be nervous about all are commits.

I've learned that the best source for unbiased information is not always a site that benefits from its homer readers.

Yes, I want him to commit and turn out to be all-world.
It's just... watching his film, I was surprised he was considered the #1 RB.
To see if I was the only one, I googled Derrick Green Overrated, and what do you know... Magnus agrees with me on his site.
I talked a lot of shit about Magnus in the past, but I think his assessment of Green is spot on. Good call Mags.
January 9th, 2013 at 11:18 AM ^
What Magnus thinks after Green's senior year.
