"Our league has done pretty well as far as recruiting goes as it is," Jacobs said to reporter Jon Solomon. "It seems to benefit some schools that may be in the past had a history of success and now don't so they're trying to grow their brand a little bit more."

He has a point.

There hasn't been a time where we had a number of national titles one day, and then magically 3 more appearing on our website the next day.

There isn't one thing about the SEC that's not sleazy or laughable. This includes that dipshit egghead Finebaum.

Lest we forget Auburn losing to Barry Alvarez-led Wisconsin. Barry Alvarez who has coached 2 games in the last 9 years.

Right, because Auburn's brand equity outside of a certain radius of Lee County, Alabama is just so incredible. I really don't know what the problem is other than they can't do it and it burns them so.

a couple of previous comments, it's ironic that this is coming from Auburn.  Cam Newton's services were acquired by Auburn by out bidding Ole miss to the tune of six figures.  He wasn't disqualified as his dad took the money he didn't.  Also didn't Wisky just beat Auburn in a bowl game?    I don't think I agree with poisoning trees but the guy needs to sit down and be quiet.

Auburn's last major bowl win: 2011.

Michigan's last major bowl win: 2012.

It's true we don't get to do this often but.... <ahem>

SCOREBOARD, BITCH!!!

Sincerely yours in football......

The Auburn AD would kill every tree on his entire campus to have 1/10th the history and culture of UM.  Considering the Tigers couldn't even sustain any semblance of consistency two freaking years after winning their title, and had to fire Chizik shortly thereafter, I'm wondering if he even understands what sustained success looks like.

He has to take a shot at Michigan for two reasons. 1. Harbaugh just trolled their entire conference and the media ate it up. 2. Delaney called them out on their recruiting practices publicly. They're coming to the realization that their reputation as the toughest conference in CFB is on shaky ground.

Well it certainly helps when you can pay $180,000 for one player for 4 months of work.

He can't be talking about the third-most valuable team in college football. Maybe the Auburn AD should worry about the Auburn brand (Charles Barkley is probably spazzing out again on live TV). And all of this satellite camp whining should be a major turnoff for parents. I'd be wondering why the SEC is so concerned with keeping my son away from top northern schools and coaches.

the fact that te SEC has responded via multiple coaches just adds more appeal to the camp circuit. Recruiting is marketing and anytime you can get your competition to focus on criticizing your actions is a great thing as it draws more attention to the program...think about this: the SEC is focused on what Michigan is doing!

Between Saban, Richt, and now Auburn, Harbaugh has pissed off almsot every major program in the SEC before he's even coached a single game.

I don't like to revel in off-season brownie points, but its hard not to enjoy this.

They really are just motivating The Harbaugh. You know he is just reading this stuff and its giving him extra motivation to win big. Harbaugh has too much pride in this University to let it be demeaned another year. Unleash The Harbaugh.
