"Our league has done pretty well as far as recruiting goes as it is," Jacobs said to reporter Jon Solomon. "It seems to benefit some schools that may be in the past had a history of success and now don't so they're trying to grow their brand a little bit more."

When the bagmen have your back, and you can sing 37 players per year.
La La La x 37 makes quite the melody!

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win. Fuck the SEC. Knock their teeth out, Jim.
Congrats on being the highest bidder on Cam Newton, Auburn. I hope more of your trees get poisoned.

I am still sick about the 100 year old trees being killed by a hick 'bama fan.

Why would anyone kill trees. I hope that guy spends at least five years in jail. I haven't been to the Auburn campus, but 100 year old trees are cool. Remember when Michigan spent a gazillion dollars to move the business school tree? Can you imagine if an OSU or MSU fan killed it? Not cool.
The fact any AD or coach from the SEC feels the need to comment about these camps at all shows how upset they are that A) they can't do it, and B) are finally at a disadvantage with something regarding football.
In conclusion: suck it SEC.
I'm not really sure they are at a disadvantage in recruiting because Michigan is running a series of half day camps in the South. Auburn is permanently located in Alabama, so I don't think things have changed. Plus they pay their players, etc.
They are just whining because they are babies.
Also I think it's hilarious that Auburn thinks it is a bigger name than Michigan.

He said he would not send his coaches for fear they would freeze their asses off. A weather joke? First of all dumb ass it's a summer time camp. 2nd of all don't be a little wuss bag. They are coming undone down there.

C) They know what Harbaugh is about to build here
Bunch of babies
...when you can go to a school and major in whittlin' and spittin'.
that is UNC.

Nice.
WaTech it there, you can major in whittling and spitting in the RC
Michigan has been recruiting the south in football for longer than Auburn and it won't stop anytime soon.
To hell with the SEC
Guy yelling that probably had a bottle of Jim Beam, had a greasy mullet and went home to beat his wife that night.

Beating wife jokes are hilarious.

You're right. I also hate jokes about minorities, children, politics, and religion. In fact, pretty much all edgy jokes are just too edgy for me. Why can't we all just sit back and enjoy the dulcet tones of the Red Green Show?
April 29th, 2015 at 11:26 PM ^
Ok? If I give the punch line twice.
April 30th, 2015 at 11:54 AM ^
Time out. I agree with cranking back the moral outrage some, andRed Green may not be edgy, but it belongs on the Mt. Rushmore of Canadian television.
Depends on the joke. But I don't think he was joking, just stating a fact regarding a likelihood of someone from Alabama. Like, for someone at a Michigan press conference, it's more likely than not they say pop, not soda.

Interesting what the ranting guy yells at the :54 second mark in that video.
but I think he missed.
Because...HARBAUGH.
If Saban or Malzahn had a camp up here I'm sure we'd all be a bit salty too. Who cares? Everything he said was true, won't get much more of a reaction than that for me.
We would be salty, but it won't have as much of an effect as Michigan going down south. The fact of the matter is that the south has far more talented players and general athletes. Just to get a word in with one of them means a huge deal, especially when they don't have the resources to make it up to Michigan besides the 5 official visits. If Harbaugh makes a great impression on some kids during one of these camps, it may even convince one of those kids to use an official visit to come to Ann Arbor. Sure if Saban or Malzahn camped here, this effect would go both ways. But the overall benefit remains with Mich (or anyone in the B10) stealing a recruit from SEC territory.
I wouldn't really care personally if they had a camp here. I believe some out of state coaches are at SMSB. The only thing I really care about are Ohio State and Alabama signing 30 players a year and the bagmen because it makes it incredibly hard for us to compete.
Maybe we would be salty or maybe we wouldn't. We will probably never really know how we would feel about it as their conference prohibits them from coming up here. Ha ha!
is he talking about auburn? between the years Bo was there till they brought the bag men out they were shit for 25 years.
April 30th, 2015 at 12:13 AM ^
To clarify: Bo Jackson. There is only one true Bo
Who knew that an offseason could be filled with so much excitement?
Coincidence that kid is wearing red shorts??? I think not!!

Looks like me trying to play QWOP.
I'd be ok if "the brand" was never in reference to Michigan sports again.
I think that the SEC is mad just because we outsmarted them, which really is not that hard, I mean a three year old could do it.

"I think that the SEC is mad just because we outsmarted them"
Uhh, no. We do that all the time. They are mad b/c even if they could run these camps in other parts of the country, it wouldn't make as much sense since more talents resides in their area.
So, are Auburn's "Tigerettes" still allowed to "recruit?"
but if you think Michigan doesn't do the same thing, well let me introduce you to the fine ladies of TriDelt and Alpha Phi.
I mean, Brady Hoke outrecruited Auburn pretty much every year. Pretty heavy words coming from Auburn
At the very least, Harbaugh has done a brilliant job of annoying the SEC
Harbaugh seems to be annoying a lot of folk. I like it!
LOL since 1998, Auburn has had 12 seasons with 4 or more losses. Michigan has had 9, and that's with arguably the two worst coaches in program history. I laugh at Auburn.
