Auburn - 32 recruits? How?
Apparently, Auburn has signed 32 recruits. I thought the SEC limited them to 28 after Ole Miss hilariously signed 37 last year.
Anyone know how this is allowed? Apologies if this has been discussed before.

I think that all of them counted to last year, as last year they signed 29, but 9 failed to qualify. This kept them under the 28 signing cap in the SEC, and I'm assuming that there will be some non-qualifiers this year, as Auburn has shown themselves to be more than willing to take risks on players who may not qualify.

That doesn't make sense. They count 25 to each class, so the 28 has to be the number of LOIs that year. If they could count as many as they wanted to the previous class, then the 28 limit doesn't make one bit of difference.

Bama signed 29. Does anyone really believe they had anything remotely close to that number of scholarships available after signing somewhere around 90 over the last three classes?

...some of their players will just have "accidents" over the next couple months.

It has been said before, but this is a major reason why the SEC teams pull in great classes, at least on paper. I'm sure a portion of these kids will not qualify, while others already on the team will "leave" for a variety of reasons. This is unfortunately how major college sports are right now.
