But stop dancing when you're 2-4 and the game is close. He hasn't by any stretch been dynamic to warrant dancing.

Football is supposed to be fun. How can you play well if you have a defeatist attitude?

I'm sorry but this mindset is stupid, are we not allowing the kids to have some semblance of fun now? He's literally not hurting anyone, why the hell do you care?
October 12th, 2014 at 12:06 AM ^
blah blah blah football is a job blah blah it shouldn't be fun blah blah blah get off my lawn
October 12th, 2014 at 12:06 AM ^
Oh, lighten up. This is America! How many yards must he acquire before he is granted freedom of expression?
October 12th, 2014 at 12:09 AM ^
10 yards, he can make a first down motion
20 yards, he can jump up and down
30 yards, he can do a little jig...
Score a touchdown, then he can Atomic Dog...
October 12th, 2014 at 12:12 AM ^
When a team is 6-0 then dance. When you're on the cusp of being the worst in school history it just looks bad
October 12th, 2014 at 12:18 AM ^
You're the worst kind of fan.
October 12th, 2014 at 12:22 AM ^
Shut...what we like to call, the fuck. up.
Just because the team isn't good doesn't mean everyone should be miserable and never smile until we're good again.
No one is watching Michigan going "those guys suck, and they've got guys dancing!"
You act like we were down 3 touchdowns and he got a first down and then started dancing.
It was pre-punt return and kickoff...who gives a shit? Well, I guess you do. But you really should find something else to bitch about. This is Michigan football, there are plenty of legitimate things to complain about these days.
October 12th, 2014 at 12:24 AM ^
Wanting everyone to be fired and enjoying some dancing are not mutually exclusive.
Norfleet doesn't owe anything to your outraged sensibilities.
October 12th, 2014 at 12:28 AM ^
He also did the hand motion of temptation for the punts in the second half. He stood on the 50 and did the victors with the crowd during the time out, he pretended to be conducting the band, and he did the go blue cheer with everyone.
Everyone here is so high on the Michigan man shit, and out for Brady's head. Let's just enjoy a player who we supported have some fun with the fans.
October 12th, 2014 at 12:40 AM ^
Frankly that was my favorite part of the game. Norfleet was awesome tonight and I hope he never loses that.
October 12th, 2014 at 8:29 AM ^
I never liked gloating or taunting. However, this is a clear case of a player having some fun. I approve.
I did hear Dierdorf say he did not like it and "players should just play". Brandy shut him up with, "You are such a dinosaur. Let the kids have some fun."
October 12th, 2014 at 12:54 AM ^
Obviously MIssissippi can dance right now but if one of them loses, does dancing cease?
Alabama is usually good but lost this year. Can they dance?
Northwestern is bad but has looked better. Dance?
October 12th, 2014 at 1:02 AM ^
Well I just got home and by the sounds of it i might be in the minority but I too hated the whole atomic dog thing... I don't think there's any W/L where I'd be behind this...
October 12th, 2014 at 1:55 AM ^
pretty much every measure. Lighten up.
October 12th, 2014 at 12:07 AM ^
Stop being a bitch. He's having fun. He's giving his all to win and do his best. You want Nazis on the field?

This is one of those situations where you bring up the "college kid" stuff.
Norfleet is a kid in college, they played the song his frat is known for...let him dance. Who cares, let him enjoy the moment. It has nothing to do with a record. He's a kid having fun.
Remember when you were in college? Didn't you have fun?
He didn't cost Michigan anything, he wasn't celebrating anything...he was just a college kid having fun.
Sometimes, we should just leave it at that.
October 12th, 2014 at 12:12 AM ^
He probably didn't have fun in college.
October 12th, 2014 at 1:05 AM ^
Maybe Bryan needs some fiber in his diet.
October 12th, 2014 at 12:19 AM ^
Love it. Go Norfleet you do your thing.

I wish I had made the drive to A2 for this. That is glorious.
October 12th, 2014 at 12:52 AM ^
I dont know why people like Bryan above gotta be haters. Have fun. Glad Fleetwood is having a fun out there
October 12th, 2014 at 1:28 AM ^
I'd upvote you more if I could. Good work man! I think behind the Funchess touchdown this was my favorite part of the game.
October 12th, 2014 at 10:27 AM ^
That video was awesome! Players should want to win but some fans need to remember that it is still a game and games are supposed to be fun.
Get it Dennis!
October 12th, 2014 at 12:06 PM ^
...just to watch this clip.
October 12th, 2014 at 12:13 AM ^
I say reconsider posting your comment. ..

Big difference between McCarthyism and posting something offensive. Big difference.
Also, people here neg for stuff that doesn't fit their views/agenda. So the fear of getting downvotes alone, should not be a deciding factor on whether or not to post.
October 12th, 2014 at 10:58 AM ^
Nice illustration of the point.
October 12th, 2014 at 12:21 AM ^
I'll argue that the dancing is passion. I am sure all the players want to be out there. But you KNOW he wants to be out there and he finds this enjoyable. I loved every minute of it. If we had more players with that kind of passion, I would argue that the team would have a better record.
Actually, today Devin had some passion, Norfleet had some passion, and Frank Clark had one of the best games of his career.
October 12th, 2014 at 12:50 AM ^
Was a BEAST. That last sack that was ooooooh so close to a safety was awesome. I was really happy for him today. He's finally starting to be a player who can be a difference maker and I think it's terrific.
October 12th, 2014 at 10:09 AM ^
THAT close to a safety. Regardless of where he was tackled, forward progress had him at the 3 or 4, in any event. That being said, it was a very nice sack, and a huge play.
October 12th, 2014 at 12:24 AM ^
being 2 -4. His energy was about the change that appears to be taking place in the hearts of our beloved football players. Now hopefully the heart change that appears to have raised the energy level will tranlate into being tough mentally? That being tough mentally will result in knowing and being in the right places on the football field? Being in the right places on the football field will hopefully translate into the immense abilities of our players showing they can be superior to other teams players? With that in mind wins should follow with regularity!
Go Blue!
October 12th, 2014 at 1:20 AM ^
That maybe that's his way of getting amped up for the game? That's his way to stay loose and ready for the next play? To stay focused? Everybody's different. He looks like the type of guy that plays better when he's engaged and having a little fun.
In summary, lighten up Francis.
October 12th, 2014 at 1:35 AM ^
This post is bad and you should feel bad.
October 12th, 2014 at 12:01 AM ^
He was absolutely jamming today. I feel like he genuinely appreciates the opportunity to just dance around and return kicks in front of 100k+, and he shows it. I love it.
October 12th, 2014 at 12:08 AM ^
after a quick search on twitter. Looks like someone took a short clip and posted it to Instagram. The sound isn't great, but he's got some moves!
October 12th, 2014 at 12:08 AM ^
This is so great. Glad to see Norfleet bring the energy.
October 12th, 2014 at 12:09 AM ^
The scoreboard said that he had requested it and I liked that he was enjoying himself. It wasn't done in a taunting way and it was a refreshing use of the extra music. Thanks for the link.

his final kick return will feature a few dancers and some fireworks to finish
October 12th, 2014 at 9:43 AM ^
The best thing I've seen out of Michigan football all year
October 12th, 2014 at 12:08 AM ^
I like his swag and his energy i just wish he would be more of a leader. He needs to use that energy to inspre players around him
October 12th, 2014 at 12:20 AM ^
*wanking motion*
*rolls eyes*
Oooooookay.
October 12th, 2014 at 12:26 AM ^
most of the rest of the team.
Devin was going Novak tonight, but I've seen Norfleet do that more than once. So what are you talking about? He's one of the more emotional players on the team.
October 12th, 2014 at 12:58 AM ^
How awesome was that, seeing Devin wear his emotions out there tonight? I think it means even more since he's usually so placid. I know he's had a rocky tenure, but I'm going to miss New 98
