all the douches who grabbed up piles of them and flipped them on ebay...who cares...it's a freakin poster. I'd rather pay $10 to the athletic dept than $5 to some scum profiting off the free handouts...that shit irritates me.

Yeah yeah, we're all very proud that you saw this almost a week ago.

But some people don't read every comment on every thread (or they might not be able to see -1 comments), so this isn't a bad way to see that everyone sees

Breaking: Athletic department now charging for air, claiming that the air inside Michigan stadium is part of the "Michigan game day atmosphere."

The site states that posters will be distributed at games and the AD office for free while supplies last (hopefully the supply is greater then 10).  While the prices are high, there is some cost to putting posters into mail tubes and sending them out.

Actually they are free. Heres the post from the site.

Official sport schedule posters, produced by Michigan Athletics are available for purchase to all Wolverine fans. It is our goal to provide high quality sport posters to as many fans as possible.

The sport posters are also available free at home events and at the Michigan Athletic Ticket Office, while supplies last.

Posters purchased online are rolled and mailed in a tube. Football Fan Packs include 1 regular poster, 1 schedule card and 1 magnet.

Visit www.mgoblue.com/posters for additional information.

From the main page for them:

Most sport posters are also available for free at U-M home events and at the Michigan Athletic Ticket Office -- while supplies last. The Football 3-D poster is available for $10 at the ticket office.

The charging is probably for out of state people like me. My sister knew someone in the ticket office and managed to get a hockey poster sent my way every year (for free). Now anyone can do it, but for a small charge (probably to encourage people to still come pick them up in person).

Grew up in NC, a childhood fan of the Blue Devils (still my bball fac, behind UM). Duke always charged for their team posters, I think it was $10 in the late 80s! They were always very cool photoshoots, with the bball team dressed like in the old west, or at the local science museum moon lande as if standing on the moon. They were super cool. Way better than the generic format has used for every single team poster. I always tout of them as a keepsake.
