Asking the general public for questions appears to be going about as well as you'd expect.

I have been a resident of West Virginia since 1967 and can no longer wear any of my Wolverine support. Not in pride. Do you feel any shame in what you did before the Bowl games in 2008?

Guh.

Here's another:

shield2081 asked:

I've been saying the whole year Denard Robinson is the most overrated player in college football. Heck, he even had the overwhelming support of the nation in a SN poll asking who they'd pick to lead them in a big game. The truth came out when Denard played against a decent defense in Michigan State. Can he perform against good Big Ten defenses, or can we expect more 3 int., 84 yd on 21 carry games?

I asked this

Michigan State decided to keep contain with their DEs every zone read play they saw. When are we going to start exploiting that by adding the mid-line option and keying off one of the tackles instead?

If everyone upvotes it, maybe there's a tiny chance it even gets asked.

I think I'll register.  Your question is one a lot of people would like to ask, including the esteemed Mr Cook, from what he said on WTKA.

Better yet, though, I wish we could downvote any question that refers to Michigan as "Big Blue."  I like progress and I like evolution, but calling Michigan "Big Blue" is neither.

Q: "Do you have any regrets from what you did before the bowl game in 2008"

A: "Not really, you see I did this thing where I asked the AD to pay my assistant coaches the going rate for assistant coaches at the time and he told me to go fuck myself, so I asked around to schools looking for head coaches if they could pay my assistants a reasonable amount and sure enough Michigan liked what it saw and hired me. The crazy thing is when you take a new job you sort of lose your players for your old team. tehy tend to think that you turned your back on them when in relaity I was just trying to do my assistants justice for all the hard wok they put in. Can I ask you a question? What is it like going through the world with an extra chromosome? I mean I know a few of you have had a good life, Corky from the hit show "Life Goes On" comes to mind, but for the vast majority of you I have to think life is pretty hard. Is it painful having no teeth? Is your sister really that great in bed, I mean think of the genetic consequences for Gods sake. Have you ever had a job and then, you know, gotten a better one? Did you ever go back to your co-workers at that old shitty job and say "Hey guys, I am super sorry about taking that great job with higher pay and opportunities to better my and my families life? Do  you ever do those things you fucking dipfuck moronic piece of mother fucking shit? Go fuck yourself.

Dear Coach Rodriguez:

It has come to my attention that many Michigan fans are desperately hoping that you'll fail sooner rather than later.  They'd like to hire Jim Harbaugh, Les Miles, or basically anyone outside your coaching tree.  Brady Hoke is on the list.  Ron "0-18" English, too.

Would you prefer that these people call you a:

A. moron

B. hillbilly

C. moron hillbilly

Kind regards,

Stupid questions deserve stupid answers.    These are the actual questions posted so far.

Coach, congrats on your 5-1 start and best of luck to you along the way from all of us "Go Blue" diehards. My question isn't about zone-reads or schemes or even how poor our defense has been, my question is do you find your hard-line and tough approach doesn't resonate with some of the young athletes of today? Many people mention your style of coaching in the same sentence as Bo, but even he never had to coach in the "information" age where players may be a bit more sensitive; do you feel your approach turns away some kids? (p.s. I have zero problems with it)

I would actually be curious to know which of the questions that I provided joke answers to you found to be legit?  Not asking to be a jerk - just curious, because I thought that the ones I answered were all laughable.

...idea why RichRod would agree to participate in this exercise.  Bring Bruce Madej back as Assoc AD of Media Relations, Dave Ablauf may be in over his head.

Could you imagine if Lloyd were doing this:

Q:  Coach.  People say that Michigan's defense is holding Michigan back from succeeding in the defensive minded B10.  Do you agree with that?

A:  Why would you ask a stupid question like that?

Q:  Coach.  Denard has put up some amazing numbers this season.  His running has looked great, and he was leading in the Heisman race, but MSU apparently figured out the blueprint to stop him.  Once you go up against more Big 10 defenses, can we expect more games with 3 interceptions and under 100 rushing yards?

A:  /angry stare

Q:  Coach, Michigan's defense is currently amongst the worst in the country against the pass and in terms of total yard and points.  How would you describe the current state of the defense?

A:  Tremendous.

Yeah, this seems like it does nothing more than invite all the naysayers and haters to bitch and complain about one overblown, unsubstantiated issue with RR or another, creating yet another media-generated forum for negativity.  Give it a rest!

The timing of the whole thing certainly contributes to my distaste for this this whole idea.

SI should be editing questions/comments. To allow some of that grammatically-challenged crap on there makes SI look lame and unprofessional. I wonder if RR knew idiots were going to be allowed to comment.

These repetitive questions are getting really boring.  It's getting to be time for RR to tell these smart-ass, ankle-biters what they can go do with themselves.  He's put up with more than enough.

A few good questions in there, especially the one about the mid-line veer.  But jeez-louise I'm almost starting to wonder why people get into coaching if this is the kind of crap they have to put up with.

Well since the deadline is the 19th. Why don't we just decide on 10 questions then upvote them all to the top. I see right now mejunglechop's question is at the top with 10 votes. It can't be that hard for us to control this thing.

We saw a lot of opportunity for Denard to make big plays against MSU that were just missed (both runs and passes) due to small execution errors on our part. That indicates to me that the scheme is still working. What types of adjustments do you expect teams to make to try to contain Denard and the rest of the offense? Are there portions of the playbook that haven't been opened that address these adjustments?
