Jabril Peppers and Jake Ryan would be my first two picks. Those are probably the best two players I have seen at playing in space against the run. I have never seen two players who just own the space between a guard and a wideout like these two have.

I understand the Peppers love, but you know we've got a good team when he's not our best player. I think Lewis, Glasgow, and maybe Butt are all better at their positions than Peppers is at his various positions.

I completely disagree. I think this is because you don't generally get a lot of highlight reel stuff at nickel and this new hybrid role.

The way he occupies 30yard radiuses so effortlessly is downright SUPER Human. How many times did we see him make a move while the ball was in the air and either break up a pass or tackle in the spot.

Eh, Butt is a toss-up, maybe actually a bit worse. He's not a very good blocker, after all. Peppers isn't great in man coverage, but that's his biggest weakness and it isn't as big a weakness as Butt. But Glasgow is a near-perfect nose. He doesn't have a weakness. That's why I think he's a better ball player than Peppers.

But are they better than Peppers at 2, 3 positions? I think that's why Peppers gets so much hype. Yeah, he's not the best CB, or best Safety, or best LB (let alone PR, RB, etc), but he can do all of them well. Given Brown's defense, that's a pretty big deal.
