article about Jim Harbaugh
I had a few minutes to spare at work and saw this when Googling Jim Harbaugh. It's football-related and I'm sure most of you will take anything right now just out of pure excitement for the season, which, again, is just two...freaking...days...away.

Title not very informative -- as I recall there may have already been this thing you call an "article" written about Jim Harbaugh before

As soon as I saw the title I thought, "Finally, Jim gets some media coverage!".

His hiring and, albeit incredibly brief, tenure as Michigan's head football coach has been woefully under-reported to this point.

Hey OP - are you the poster formally known as "Voltron is handsome?" If so, are you also looking forward to the Browns this year (I am for some odd reason).
Been meaning to ask that and I figured this post was as good as any.
September 1st, 2015 at 10:17 AM ^
Yes he is,
He has had many different accounts.
Voltron is Handsome is just one.
Sometimes it takes years of practice to get this message board thing down.
September 1st, 2015 at 10:19 AM ^
I am not, actually.

You my friend
are full of shit
September 1st, 2015 at 10:25 AM ^
Kind sir, I found this blog about three months ago thanks to a friend who has read it for years. I truly have no idea what you're talking about. Although, Voltron is quite a handsome robot, so I can appreciate that screen name.
September 1st, 2015 at 10:31 AM ^
Its your story
you can tell it any way that you'd like.
September 1st, 2015 at 10:52 AM ^
I don't have a story, but you can believe whatever you want; I really don't care.
September 1st, 2015 at 1:13 PM ^
On one hand...I 100% believe you're Voltron Is Handsome.
On the other...when I first started posting here, people SWORE up and down I was some character named em0 - so I have sympathy if you're not. But you are.
On the third hand...I'm even MORE confused because as I post this, there is some ad on the left of the screen about Chinese-Lady.com and it's the woman with a huge rack in a sexy pink number that doesn't necessarily look like she's Chinese. To make matters even more confusing it says "Most Trusted Dating Service in China"...but I'm in North Carolina.
2 days.

I'll tell ya, you can get a good look at a T-bone steak by sticking your head up...I got nothin.
September 1st, 2015 at 9:56 AM ^
I was hoping it was an article about his preferences in pant material. Alas, it was not. So I am left to sit idly wondering some more.

Multiple players have reported his tendency to jump in a take a few snaps in live action. Rudock, already a college quarterback for four years, says the education in drop-backs, understanding reads and progressions has been invaluable.
You kind of get the feeling that even at 51, Harbaugh would jump right in there in an emergency if the NCAA would let him do it.
That being said, this was actually insightful as I really hadn't thought too much about what that has to be like for that unit, to be QBs coached by someone who was himself a QB here and a revered one at that. I bet Harbaugh does take their successes / challenges a bit more personally.
September 1st, 2015 at 10:30 AM ^
It reminds me of something he said last week about "If the old age and the NCAA would allow it, I would" referring to playing in the game. I think I botched the quote, but to you point he totally would jump in there and play if he could.
"I can do it coach!", Jim says to himself.
In response, "Okay then! Show those youngsters on the other team what a real quarterback looks like!"
"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH", 51 year old quarterback Jim Harbaugh yells as he takes the field.

I'm sure other examples exist, but this is one of my favorite hockey stories. A comparable situation unfolded in game two the 1928 Stanley Cup Finals, when the NY Rangers found themselves w/o a goalie after an injury. Montreal's coach wouldn't let them borrow a goalie from the audience or the minors, and so NY coach Lester Patrick played goal for a 2-1 overtime win.

The article talks about how intensely the D played in front of their coach, I have to imagine the O-line would be inspired to really take it to the opposing D-line.

Could you imagine if you were responsible for Haurbaugh being sacked? I shutter from the thoughts of the repercussions.
September 1st, 2015 at 12:59 PM ^
Imagine how jacked the Wings D would be if Howard's backup was Holland. We'd be having McCarty flashbacks every time someone even looked at Jimmy the wrong way.

what if he was RRs replacement? What would he have done with Denard?
September 1st, 2015 at 11:35 AM ^
Moved him to corner or RB.

Fluff piece but I'll take it. I can't get enough of football related content at this point. These next two days are going to last forever.
September 1st, 2015 at 9:58 AM ^
Probably going to need a snowflake thread for all Jim Harbaugh articles.

should start Shane for the first series just to fuck with the Utes. You know they've been preparing for Rudock.
September 1st, 2015 at 10:03 AM ^
Actually, Peppers should take the first snap in wildcat formation.
September 1st, 2015 at 10:23 AM ^
Shhhhh.
September 1st, 2015 at 10:28 AM ^
I fear the only thing starting Shane on the first series would "fuck with" is our ability to get a first down...

I'd rather read a pesticide instruction pamphlet while scatching my ass with a cheese grater than read draftageddon.

That said, go on....

The Stars and Stripes had Jim Harbaugh take up the whole back cover yesterday (photo). Luckily I saw it because both sides were being displayed and was able to snag up a copy. I am stationed in England and I thought this was very cool. I do have a photo I just don't know how to upload from iPhone...

As far as I know, you cannot post a picture on this site on a cell phone.

It gives me an option on the side through the app but it doesn't allow for copying photos in... Oh well

It's awfully hard to find anything about Harbaugh since he left the 49ers.
