I was not implying that our guys wouldn't have a chance, in fact the class we are bringing in this year is (in my opinion) a lot better than theirs. I just don't get the argument "glad that PSU is in the other division", because we will have to face these guys when they are upperclassmen. This is different than saying "glad we don't play Wisconsin this year in the regular season b/c of Russel Wilson", unless we see them in the B1G championship and then it may affect us. Any how I think Devin will destroy these guys and our 2012 class will be awesome when we face off.

As expected. Would have been nice to get him but since we came back in so late this doesn't surprise me. Need to keep working on Yuri Wright and hopefully we can get a commitment out of him

Penn State is going to end up with a damn good recruiting class this year, especially if (when) Spence drops for them. Should make the games against them in a few years pretty good.

So hypothetical time.  The coaches want another DB, potentially.  Lets say Wright doesn't work out.  If Clark keeps racking up offers and one is potentially threatening, is there a chance he gets an immediate scholarship offer?  Granted he is a safety and we're looking for corners, but still a question.

I think there is a least some possibility that this news means that Terry Richardson is firm in his commitment.  Reminds me a little of the week before Pipkins committed when we said no thank you to another DT.

Of course, then I could just be reading into things WAY too much.  After all, Reeves as been high on Penn State for some time.

You're thinking too hard. Getting back in the mix with a guy late and then losing him to Penn State means nothing with regard to Richardson. The coaching staff wants another DB, Reeves is a good DB, ergo they wanted to get back in it with Reeves. Can't win em all.

Start reading the Tea Leaves when we lose a DB recruit to Louisville not a traditional power like Penn State especially considering we jumped out of the recruitment and hopped back after he was clearly a bit offended.

Sucks to be him! He's going to get torched by Denard!

On a more serious note, good luck to him, he sounded like a top-notch prospect. Hopefully he has a long and healthy career.

He will be a freshman when Denard is a senior, so I doubt he will even play  against Denard. Not to mention we don't play Penn State the next two years (and I don't see them making it to the Big Ten Championship game against us that year). So no, he's actually probably not gonna get torched by Denard.

I think we lost him when we backed off on him earlier in the year.  Can't blame him really.  I hope he does well there (except when he plays against us).  But, yeah, Penn State's class is starting to look pretty good.  They'll probably end up #2 in the Big Ten after us.

Would have been a nice-to-have luxury in the class.  I have to believe that, based on TVH cryptomessaging, Mattison has some better options in play.

Good for Penn State. I've always liked their school and program. It's my brother's favoirte team, so he's sure to be excited by all their recruiting success this year.
