You mean best fake ever !
September 15th, 2014 at 10:18 PM ^
That even fooled me! They should've faked CPR so the other team could've had a pick 6!

200 loops per second or so. I think I've added at least 20 to the count. Hilarious
September 16th, 2014 at 12:02 AM ^
Not just weird but dangerous. Guy could have hurt himself.
September 16th, 2014 at 12:44 AM ^
I'm glad you posted that angle Devotee. Seeing that dude get blown up made it that much better !

I couldnt not watch it over and over and over. The "fake dead guy" might be the most hilariously ridiculous thing I've ever seen actually run in a game.
And to think they must've actually PRACTICED that play. Can you image the HC?
NO DAMMIT - RUN THE FUCKING THING AGAIN. YOU HAVE TO 'SELL' THAT YOUR DEAD - IT BARELY LOOKED LIKE YOU WERE EVEN SICK!
September 16th, 2014 at 10:04 AM ^
other team apparently wasn't buying the faking dead act. He starts running toward him to knock his head off before the Ark. State guy even starts to get up. Hilarious.

My favorite part is when he gets clocked as he's getting up. Also, the 1920s movie playing dead thing.

MEDIC!!!
September 15th, 2014 at 10:35 PM ^
The receiver on the left side of the formation goes in motion to the right. Who in THEE HELL is the punter throwing the ball to?
Oh....and perfect dead man ploy by the Arky St receiver.
September 15th, 2014 at 10:39 PM ^
on the left.
September 15th, 2014 at 10:39 PM ^
Apparently TacoPants isn't just tall, he's also as wide as the field of play.
September 16th, 2014 at 1:47 AM ^
You can see a guy go downfield. But obviously not a good throw at all.
September 15th, 2014 at 10:36 PM ^
guy played dead or that play works
September 16th, 2014 at 5:55 AM ^
in other words, the wrong player executed?
September 15th, 2014 at 10:36 PM ^
That shit is funny

At first I was pissed I couldn't see the whole play, but that guy dying is absolutely hilarious. One of the funniest things I've seen in a while.
September 16th, 2014 at 12:50 PM ^
Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!!!
September 15th, 2014 at 10:39 PM ^
Can someone explain how that play was supposed to work? I can't even comprehend what is being attempted there. it's just ludicrous.
September 15th, 2014 at 10:48 PM ^
Especially when the defense makes it obvious they are only rushing four.
September 15th, 2014 at 10:56 PM ^
right side of the formation. The motion should also shift the attention of the defense to the right side. Right as the receiver gets to the right side the ball is snapped and the other kid there keels over.
The oddity of the kid falling over stuns the defense while the tight end on the very left of the line busts out and scores an easy td.
Ta-dah.
September 16th, 2014 at 9:57 AM ^
by the motion man coming over to the right, the left tackle became an eligible receiver, and the dude playing dead became an ineligible one. If he'd gone downfield he would've drawn a penalty, so he stayed right where he was. Now there was probably a better way to do this than suddenly commit suicide, but eh. Two kinds of people.
September 16th, 2014 at 4:46 PM ^
I see. I guess that's one way to do it.
September 16th, 2014 at 12:48 PM ^
Maybe they just wanted to interject a little fun and unpredictability into what is still, no matter how obsessed we are with winning, a game. I think the useless "fainting goat" ploy was hilarious.
September 16th, 2014 at 4:45 PM ^
why would this innocent request to explain the thinking behind the play get downvoted? some people..
September 15th, 2014 at 10:40 PM ^
That is some bad HS coaching right there. Oh wait it's college! Holy moly that was terrible.
September 15th, 2014 at 10:53 PM ^
He HAD to be asked about this in the post-game presser...right?
I mean, how COULDN'T you ask?
September 15th, 2014 at 11:15 PM ^
We not going to talk about deaths.
September 15th, 2014 at 10:55 PM ^
Literally can't stop watching and laughing at the player that plays dead. This is fantastic
September 15th, 2014 at 11:01 PM ^
There probably should have been a penalty on the guy who really did kill the dead guy for a blow to the head. The refs probably thought they deserved anything they got on that play.
September 15th, 2014 at 11:03 PM ^
Obviously didn't execute. And we don't talk about injuries. Even if they're fake.

I don't really get it. Why would this work??? Sometimes teams use things like this destraction before the play but never during it.
September 15th, 2014 at 11:24 PM ^
...you're up. Don't disappoint.
September 15th, 2014 at 11:24 PM ^
That almost worked, too.
September 16th, 2014 at 12:16 PM ^
Just need to execute better.
September 15th, 2014 at 11:26 PM ^
That was awesome.. Football needs more "random fake dead guy" plays.
September 15th, 2014 at 11:30 PM ^
...and a dead guy!
September 15th, 2014 at 11:39 PM ^
This is how you're supposed to do trick plays:
September 16th, 2014 at 1:28 AM ^
holy crap! This play is way too ballsy to call in a competative game, but if you're Presbyterian playing at Wake, why the fuck not?
September 16th, 2014 at 9:54 AM ^
staright out of the 80's. Haven't seen that one in a long time.
September 16th, 2014 at 2:49 PM ^
Former Pro-Bowler Al Toon threw the pass. The fake incompletion/skip pass is the first play, assuming I can get this to embed properly.
At the time both teams were borderline bowl teams, finishing with 7-5 records. Wisconsin won their bowl game and Illinois lost theirs.
September 16th, 2014 at 12:48 PM ^
Executed to perfection, we raan this play on my Freshman Team in HS. Brings back hilarious memories...
September 16th, 2014 at 12:57 AM ^
The player who did that is only 5'1

Even if that ridiculous trick somehow did work, and some Miami players stopped playing, it would go down as one of the dirtiest tricks ever.
September 16th, 2014 at 5:52 AM ^
I have to spend the whole day at some Leadership Conference, so in the middle of one of the sessions, I think I might actually try this - I just hope that I do not get trucked like that on the way up from my faux dead position, that's all. Good lord, this is hilarious - Miami perhaps figured that, him being supposedly dead, there's no point in stopping the play to help. Too bad that dude figured it out after they did.
September 16th, 2014 at 8:45 AM ^
for hitting a defenseless player. You cant get much more defenseless than just beginning to rise from the dead!
September 16th, 2014 at 10:45 AM ^
I am normally just a "lurker" here, enjoying the comments of other Michigan fans. This play had me laughing until I had tears...
Do you suppose they had try-outs for the dead guy position? "...nope, Charlie, you just didn't convince me you were dead. Next..."
