This game reminds me of a RR coached Michigan game. Even though Arizona only has like 30
yards this half, a year or so from now this game will be remembered as one of those games in which the defense let the team down.

This game is unwatchable. Arizona offense 7 three and outs. Who is Arizona's backup QB? Solomon is brutal. I'm sure the D is saying right about now, WTF offense .

This type of offense requires the QB to play well. If he does, the offense is dynamic. If he doesn't, this type of offense sucks. It's mostly about the QB. Arizona QB-- Young, overwhelmed, and weather conditions all contributing to 25 yards total offense in first half.

Spread Offenses depend greatly on a QB playing well. If QB doesn't play well, then the offense bogs down like Arizona did last night. In comparison, look at offenses like Wisconsin. They've had 2 QB's playing average to mediocre most of year(little over 50% completions) but the offense can still play well because a dominant rushing attack that can move the ball and score points.

Chip Kelly's current version doesn't seem to be so QB-dependent. He's morphed it into a version where the quarterback doesn't run very much, and the throws seem to be easier than the usual pro-style offense. I can't think of an NFL team where the gap between the QB's level and the overall level of the offense is as large.

Offensive mastermind Rich Rodriguez with 25 yards of offense at half. Against a defense that gave up 41 to Cal.

People forget that Arizona had one possession wins over UTSA, Neveda, and Cal.  They were 6-1 in 1 possession games.  They were incredibly close to being and 8-4 team with a couple of bad losses.  With the way USC and UCLA look they likely won't get this close again for a while.

So far AZ has laid an egg...this is good, tired of all those "we should have kept RR" posts. He was getting better but his defenses were painful to watch. That Illinois game still haunts me 70 something points is not acceptable.

Yeah, beating #2 and making it to the conference championship with 2 and 3 star freshmen recruits is something that is going to make people stop thinking he's a good coach.

I don't want him back at michigan, but i don't want him to fail.  A loss here doesn't make me think he didn't do something fucking incredible with the talent he has right now..... and they have two consecutive wins over oregon before this game.... what ranked teams has michigan beat lately?
