Are we doing something to our running backs?

I understand some injuries, but this seems ridiculous. Can you imagine multiple games in a row with a healthy Brown and Minor? I can't so I wonder if anyone could fill me in as to what that would be like. Now Shaw, with limited carries mind you, cannot seem to stay healthy either. I begin to doubt his reliability as a feature back for next year if his body will not cooperate. Are we doing something with our conditioning or stretching that is contributing to this? Is it simply "bad luck" for those three guys? I look at the missed opportunities with those guys and it almost seems unfair.

"We" are putting them in stocks and subjecting them to public flogging every day, thus causing contusions on the back, legs, and glutes, leading to further injuries.

Injuries are just a part of the game for college RBs. I'm sure there are certain conditions in which guys are more or less likely to become injured, but I would wager that on the whole it is something of a random occurrence.

The lack of the OL doing a decent job blocking for the RB's and the constant picking up of blocks for the QB's (because the OL can't pass block to save their lives) probably doesn't help the RB's out a whole lot.

are forcing them to run full-speed toward eleven large, angry men whose sole purpose is to bring them to the ground as guickly and violently as possible. I can't figure out why they keep getting hurt...

Unfortunately, we've just hit a streak of bad luck. It seems like we had pretty good luck for most of the 1990s and early 2000s when it came to running backs staying healthy. Now we've had a few injury-prone running backs, but they've been like that since before arriving on campus or just after. So I doubt it has much to do with what's going on at Michigan.

If I was a running back in practice and got the ball on a hand off with nothing between me and Brandon Graham, I would break my own ankle and save myself from certain DEATH.
