Aramide Olaniyan

I read some of the discussion about recruiting earlier in the day particularly regarding us going after top prospects. This guy Olaniyan (duke decommit) is only ranked #124 in the ESPN 150 as a 6'2" 200lb LB/DE but has amazing speed and explosiveness (check out video). I think he fits the mold for a stevie brown type position though he is currently a little undersized at 200lb. My point is if we recruit guys like this we'll have a defense that nobody in the big ten will be able to compete with. I think this may be RichRod's plan to force the bigten's elite teams to follow suit to keep up with us in the future.

i meant he is under the radar more than say Jeff Luc Jordan Hicks etc at #124 but may turn out better for us. We may end up having better recruiting class than some people think

being in 150 is good. some seem to feel that if we don't have any players near the top of these rankings means we'll never be on the level of florida, lsu, usc, etc. However, i feel we can by getting multiple guys like Olaniyan

OSU has a great defense right now (one of the best in the country probably) and we will need to do a lot better just to keep up with OSU and PSU. It's not like we are suddenly going to blow them out of the water. I can only hope that RR gets a defense that is considered at or near the top of the Big10. With a good offense, that would have UM in the top 10 nationally most years.

I like things that are good. I also like things that are awesome. And I like good and awesome players. If Michigan can get good and awesome players, Michigan will be good and awesome. But that's just my epinion.

Man, I'm really mad that we're only recruiting guys that are ranked in the 120s for the entire country. We could be doing so much better.
