Appalachian Spring

I clicked this thinking you had insider information about Appalachian State's team from a spring practice/game. I am thoroughly disappointed.

Well...
I clicked thinking he was going to talk about the weather they had ths spring. I heard it was HOT, HOT, HOT.

Making fun of "HOT, HOT, HOT" the last time is where we started our slide toward the Horror.
I for one think that "HOT, HOT, HOT" is the finest college promotional video of all time. It is the "We are ND" of the Sun Belt Conference.

I was in the MMB that year. I guess now is the time to come clean that I was part of a small group that may or may not have arranged a small ensemble version of HOT HOT HOT that may or may not have been performed for the MMB staff sometime during the week before the game. To great effect.
It was hilarious then. I've been kicking myself ever since. Basically, our bad.

That kind of insincerity can cause the Great Horror to not pass you by.

I just thought it would be interesting to note that this piece that we have all heard at the Big House so many times before is in fact entitled "Appalachian Spring". Enjoy!

I almost hate to say this, and perhaps the music nerd in me is coming out, but my first thought when I saw this thread was in fact Aaron Copland because...well....I am still trying to reconcile myself with this other entity which has the name "Appalachian" in it. That being said, the band did a good job at the ND game in 1991, no?

Yeah, same. I saw the thread title and I was like, Guy can't be talking about Copland. And boom, there he was, sort of.
I was at that game in 1991. If this season turns out to be as good as that game, then I will be a happy alum indeed.
