I suppose I could envision a scenario where Michigan beats UConn 55-34 and wins big.  I'm not saying it will happen, but I could envision it.

However, I CANNOT envision a single scenario where our defense holds UConn to 6 points.  Not a single one.

I am going to assume this writer is a fool.

That's the first preview I've read stating that UConn's offense is that bad. "As powerful as a snail on a treadmill," to be exact. I have to assume that write is clueless, but I'd be more than pleased if a 27-6 W was the outcome on Saturday.

as bad as our defense is...he does have a good point.  This isn't exactly a loaded offense.  Not saying 6 points is likely but last year everyone was talking about how good a team W. Michigan was with their run game and retunring qb.  They got 7 points against a defense that is projected to be just as bad.

Apparently UConn's offense is terrible (their offense vs. our defense could be high-school-esque).  But really he rights for AOL Fanhouse, if you think the people on ESPN are dumb this is ten levels down.

that was garbage. We let Delaware State score 6 points so I'm pretty sure UCONN will get some endzone time. I envision, like most everyone else a close Michigan win. Anything better than that and I will consider it a late birthday present. Go Blue!

UConn likes to play the ball control game and lull you to sleep.  I don't think they'll have that luxury this week in AA.  Edsall may change his philosophy this week and try to strike fast and often early so he doesn't have to play catch up all day.

You don't need to assume anything—he's proven it beyond the shadow of a doubt. There's room for debate about who wins the game, but the idea that we're going to hold them to six points is an opium dream.

who is this man who compares UConn's offense to a snail on a treadmill? Ah the wonders of the internets...

Well, it seems he is based out of Madison, Wisconsin (draw your own conclusions) and he's got a bunch of blogs...http://www.blogger.com/profile/08880787707678297235

Apparently, a pastor at the Evangelical Lutheran Church (top that Brian Cook) since Pastor Hasty gets his info from on high. He is a graduate of Minnesota State (Mankato) and the Luther Seminary. Of his secular career, Mr. Hasty notes:

My freelance writing career has been entirely secular. My work regularly appears at FanHouse.com and has appeared in the past at The Truth About Cars and BlogCritics. I am always open to potential projects. Writing isn't just a hobby for me; it's part of my calling in life.

In summary, he has a close relationship with god, has been writing College Football since 2007 and has a lot of varied interests. So, basically, he could be pretty much anybody on any board anywhere (except tUofOSU) making this prediction. I believe we win big but six points is impossible.

I don't think this defense will keep UMass under 6 points this year, so the notion of bowl-team UConn being kept to such a number is ludicrous. Now, a 21-point win is certainly in the cards, but it will look far more like an NFL-Blitz score.

UConn has a pretty good offense, six points would shock me. I don't think the game will be very high-scoring, but both teams will get their fair share of points. I'll predict a 27-24 U-M victory.

If this guy hates hot seat lists why does he use so much space writing about who's on them?

One outcome that seems unlikely is UConn scoring only 6 points

Never underestimate the power of the human spirit, that defense of eleven angry men with something to prove....oh,but they won't hold UConn to six.

Why is everyone so high on Notre Dame?  They have a qb that hasn't taken any meaningful snaps in his career coming off of ACL surgery with a brand new system? Herbie has Notre Dame just short of the BCS.  Give me a break.  They couldn't stop us last year, they will not stop us this year.

Not that I am pumping ND, personally I am happy with 6-6 this year, but if you don't think Kelly stepping in for Weis is a major upgrade then I will be happy watching the bombs drop a week from Saturday.  Don't forget, and I am aware of scoreboard, you didn't stop us much last year either and in your case your defense isn't any better.

I don't mind that you forecast a UM win, but I don't see how you think its this great impossibility that ND will win.  I guess we'll know more in 4 days.
