Anyone want to donate Michigan Basketball tickets?

Submitted by The Shredder on
I work for a teen home named St.Johns Home in Grand Rapids. It's basically a home for teens who come from parents who have lost their rights due to abuse or neglect. We try and foster them out but that can be impossible at times when they come to us so old. All of us workers drew names for xmas and I got Corey a 17 year old maize and blue fan. I would really like to take him to a Michigan basketball game but there is no way I could afford it. Plus our limit for the kids is $20. I was just checking to see if anyone had any extra tickets anyone was willing to donate to Corey. Two tickets would be so awesome and make his Christmas. It would be his first game. Any games past Dec 22nd would be the best. Someone donated money to take out the whole house to Chicago for xmas and we will be gone the 20th-22nd. We took him to his first football game this year(WMU). Someone was kind enough to donate 9 football tickets to us. We took the whole house. We have about four Maize and Blue kids here but Corey is bleeds the most. I know this is a shot in the dark but figured it was worth a try since Mgoblog seems be family like to me. You can email me at [email protected] or just reply in the thread if you have any questions or want to donate. Thanks for the time everyone.

I don't have any tickets but have you tried contacting the Athletic Department or Ticket Office? They haven't been selling out games and might be willing to donate some.

I have two tickets to the weekend pack which includes Connecticut (Sunday, Jan. 17); Northwestern (Sunday, Jan. 10); Iowa (Saturday, Jan. 30); and Penn State (Saturday, Feb. 20). The seats aren't that good (on the upper bowl), but if you want to pick one of the games other than the UCONN game, they're yours. Email me at [email protected] if you're interested.

I just can't say enough about members of Mgoblog. I had three people step forward and donate tickets. So now I will be able to take the whole house. Our boys are gonna be so excited. We watch almost all the games together at the house. Now they will be able to see one in person. I will be taking Corey,Angus,RJ,Ryan and Travis. All huge basketball fans. They will eat it up. I can't thank the people enough who donated their tickets for boys of St.Johns Home. You guys give to kids who don't have much and our home can't thank you enough.
