I used it earlier this season for BGSU tickets and I had no problem with them. StubHub has a guarantee anyway that if for some reason the tickets are fake or something you will get your money back. But I recommend StubHub for sure.

I actually bought hockey regional tickets in Bridgeport, CT on Stubhub 2 years ago (when we lost to Air Force). After I had completed my purchase and paid for the tickets, Stubhub notified me that the seller couldn't provide the tickets. True to their policy, Stubhub found comparable tickets (same section, a few rows closer) and sold them to me for the same price. I believe the seller who backed out was responsible for paying the difference between the tickets I initially bought and the tickets I ended up with.

I buy and sell using stubhub. They are reputable on both ends. The buyer is protected against fraud more so than any other site. The only problem I have with stub hub is their GD fees!! They are ridiculous, but they have the market by the balls!

What were you looking for? When I buy tickets to games I usually use stubhub as a last resort or for hard to find tickets. I usually use eBay or craigslist first. I have also used mgoblog's ticket spreadsheet before as well.

The fees are high, but if it's a big event or you are going out of town for an event, there's something to be said for the peace of mind that you can't get ripped off -- because the seller gets nothing if the tickets are fake, they remove the incentive for selling fake tickets, so it's a near guarantee that you will get real tickets for the event.  And in the unlikely event that you get fake tickets you get your money back.

With Craigslist, you avoid the fees, but there are always people selling fake tickets on there, and you're screwed if you bought fakes because you'll never find the person who ripped you off.

I find that tickets are usually noticeably cheaper on eBay. When I looked for tix for the MSU game I think the cheapest I saw was about $500 for a pair (bought them late...). Got a pair from eBay for $350.

My gut says StubHub is probably safer, but eBay does have protections. But I've bought many dozens of tickets on eBay for all sorts of events and I've never had a problem.

I've used StubHub five or six times and never had s problem.

However depending on which game, if its this one.  Might be cutting it close.  Sometimes the seller will meet you somewhere.

The biggest problem is the 10% fee they so those $300 buck tickets just became $330.  But their fees are more reasonable than the online brokers, which will lure you in with low prices.

I expect nothing and therefore never disappointed.

I just heard of vivid seats thanks to this post, but when I went to compare Vividseats to stubhub, I was confused with what the total prices end up being. On both sites I would see the same ticket listings, but after a painful process of making it to the checkout they both added additional services fees from 10% to 20% on top of the already ludicrous prices.

This got me to do some reading and I came across this article in yahoo that talked about Tickpick: http://news.yahoo.com/tickpick-launches-first-comprehensive-bid-ask-platform-live-130905686.html

Before I buy tickets to watch the New York Giants kick some @$$ this year I just wanted to make sure that I am safe if I buy tickets with tickpick. This article says they have a guarantee similar to the other websites, but that they only charge the seller a fee when tickets get sold and that the buyers aren't charged any additional fees except fedex costs.

It seems to good to be true, can anyone speak from experience?
