Yep, I'll be there. We bought tickets online a couple weeks ago, ~200 each including fees. Prices had actually come down a bit, 2 months ago looked like they'd be 275+.

Shit hole city, reminds me of flint without the crime. Stay in Omaha and go to Sushi Blue. I know they aren't near the ocean, but man they have good sushi, and I have traveled all over the world. There isn't much culture there, but very nice people. The fans there have blinders on and can't be objective, so don't try to discuss football. They are fun fans however, and you will enjoy it. Yes, they have sold out their 75k stadium a lot. Just let them tell you that, grab a beer and have fun.

I was just wondering what kind of pregame festivities are happening for the game, Tailgates, parties, ect.  We are making the trip up from Kansas City, we are originally from Michigan. We have big Wolverine football parties here every game day.  We are looking for the Wolverine groups for next weekends game to enjoy some pregame festivities with.

Thanks

i remember before the season started I knew a lot of people who were going to go to the Nebraska game instead of going to Dallas for the bama game. Hopefully theres a lot of Michigan fans there

Right now you get a pair of tickets off eBay for like $100. If I wasn't for the fact that I don't feel like driving to Nebraska I would definitely jump on that.

Flying out on Friday.  Night game in a "must see" stadium against a team with a great tradition and a mega-devoted fan base?  Yes, please.  It's going to be a great environment.   Also, with Nebraska's defensive struggles this year, I'm def looking forward to some long runs by Denard.

This will be the first Michigan game I've attended in 2 years. Lot harder to make it to games since moving to California, so I'm stoked for this one. Should be a great game.

I'm in a group going...hopefully we'll see everyone at the alumni event beforehand. It would be great to have a big UM presence there!

I will be making the trip. Friend from Nebraska is hooking me up with a ticket for $100. Fired up to see a night game in Lincoln, not excited about the 12 hour car ride though.

This summer, I stayed in Nebraska for 7 days to play in a golf tournament and visit the Univ of Nebraska.  We stayed in a hotel on the west side of Omaha.  I would say that downtown/central Ohmaha is about an hour from Lincon, but the western suberb/side is only about 40-45 min, and it's a dead straight shot on the freeway (I think it was I-80).  It helps that the stadium (and parking i'm assuming) is on the East side of Lincoln, so you don't have to go through downtown.  Omaha is bigger.  If anyone needs help with food, airport stuff, and other directions please ask.  I can give the hotel we stayed at as well if anyone wants it.

edit: then again, all these driving times are without gameday traffic.

I'm currently going to grad school at UNO (Omaha) so all my fellow GA's are huge husker fans. They all have connections for stuff, so (unfortunately) I'll be hanging out with a bunch of hukser fans before/during the game.

It would be great to have another complete ass kicking to hold over their heads (not to mention control over the division).

Yep.  Just scored 4 tix together at face value today.  Looking forward to it.  Lincoln is an electric gameday experience.  Although this is my first trip as a fan of the opposing team.  Great tailgating and a lot of great bars downtown within walking distance.

I live in West Omaha and my son is flying in from Phoenix to go to the game.   If you pass my house you'll see all the M flags flying.   Stay out here and it's a 45 minute drive.   Very easy right down I-80.  Look for hotels around 180th and Center or right on 1-80 as far west as possible.

Thursday night. My buddy has local family in Lincoln with bbq and keg pre-installed for our arrival. Found a single seat online for 135...pretty cheap compared to others I saw. Hope to see some Mgoblog friends there!!

I'm still working on finalizing the details, but I plan on driving up from Oklahoma City, about a 7 hour drive.  Fortunately for me, I will be heading west after the game and hotels out in the middle of nowhere, 45 miles west of Lincoln aren't full, so I'll be staying just one night for $100. BTW, does anyone know where the students sections are?

Does anyone want to meet up? We could take some pics for the blog and meet each other. It would also be great meeting other Wolverines in this area. We have been invited by some locals to their Nebraska tailgates, but we were also hoping to float around and say hey.

staying in West Omaha. Will definitely be hitting the Alumni Assoc. Tailgate.

I met quite a few nice Nebraska fans last year in Ann Arbor; looking forward to seeing their house.

Just wanted to throw up a reply, I have an extra ticket to the game that is available! Section 19, Row 90. I'm willing to give you a good deal on it and we can just meet up at the game or I can FedEx it to you. Just trying to help out my fellow MGoBloggers. Shoot me an email at jongent at me dot com if you are interested!
