Anyone In the Know with Regard to MSU Kick time?

Submitted by azian6er on

Just curious if anyone has any more info than the regular joes with regard to the Sparty Kick time.

I just picked up tickets (S41 Row 79), however, am debating lodging on Saturday evening depending on kick time.

Does anyone know the system, or can anyone make a high confidence guess as to what the kick is MOST likely to be?

Im thinking 3:30pm which would be awesome for game atmosphere - but sucky for commute home....

ideas?

REGULAR JOES?!?!?   At your service.

Kick time will be 3:30.  You can take it to the bank or invest in it in a low cost mutual fund.  I wouldn't go any further unless you're really young and have a large appetite for risk. Definitely don't be a pussy and put it in a bond or CD.

All that I can tell you is that MSU only has to beat Ohio State and then they're in the playoff. That's the general statement for every state fan and the media in the Lansing area. The rest of their games offer no challenge. If I was a team that was playing them I could find major locker room hype from the disrespect to their weak opponents.

Yeah, I mean states only given up around 900 yards of offense in their first two games. What I was getting at is that I think michigan will beat them and doesn't have far to look for motivation based on their delusional fan base and coaching staff playing down games that are yet to be played.

"....delusional fan base and coaching staff playing down games that are yet to be played."

Link?  Sure much of the MSU fan base is hopeful of a great season (and why not, it's still early...I've read wildly ambitious predictions for UofM also) but most of the hype for MSU winning out until playing OSU (which most see as an OSU win) is coming from BTN, ESPN, and other media pundants and commentators.....certainly NOT from their coaching staff.

4 of the 6 B1G TV games are already locked into place time-wise:

Iowa @ Northwestern: 12 PM on either an ESPN Network or BTN

Purdue @ Wisconsin: 12 PM on either an ESPN Network or BTN

Rutgers @ Indiana: 3:30 PM on either an ESPN Network or BTN

Penn State @ Ohio State: 8 PM on either ABC, ESPN, or ESPN2.

Games with time still TBD:

Nebraska @ Minnesota, Michigan State @ Michigan.

Figure the B1G gets a game in 2 of ABC's 3 slots.  As long as PSU doesn't stumble too badly (e.g., is at least 4-2 going into the game), I think that's an ABC game.  Those are 2 schools which given their fanbases and size of their states, bring good ratings even in bad times.  And there's no other ACC, or Big XII or Pac-12 game that week which SCREAMS "ABC Prime-time game."

I'd tend to guess MSU @ Michigan is the 2nd B1G game on ABC.  It probably gets the 3:30 slot given (a) 3:30 draws higher ratings vs. Noon, and (b) there are already 2 other B1G games slotted at Noon.  Figure MSU/Mich at 3:30 on ABC, RU/IND (not many people will be watching that one) is on BTN, and Nebraska/Minnesota goes Noon with the Noon games all split between ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU/BTN.

But that's just a guess.
