anyone have footage of Hoke talking to Hagerup?

Submitted by swan flu on

I want to show Hoke's behavior post Hagerup mistake to some other coaches I work with as a good example of how to handle student-athlete mistakes.

I looked through some of the highlight videos but can't find it, I know I saw it during the game but the whole 4 hours are a blur to me at this point.

Does anyone have/know where I can find the mini conference between Hoke and Hagerup?

Thanks MGoEveryone.

I went ballistic too.

You know Hagerup felt worse than dog sh*t.

That clip of Hoke smiling and encouraging the young man...unbelievable.

Words can't express the respect I have for Brady Hoke.

Another example of Brady's epic cool was his answer in the post game presser to the question about if Miller had hit Posey for a TD with a presumed extra point putting Ohio up 41-40 with about 1:30 left. "Well, we would've had some work to do." Just matter of fact like that, with probably no doubt in his mind that we would've come down and scored.

Oh wait, thats purple faced Brian Kelly.  Coach Hoke has infinitely more self control considering the timing of Hargerups derp.

Thank you for your class, self control and integrity Coach Hoke.

This is the best example of one of Hoke's best qualities. I watched every game this year and I can't recall a single instance of Hoke yelling or even apparently saying something negative to his players. I have always hated it when coaches do that. Rodriguez was pretty bad, but not at all unusual. Lord knows Bo reamed out a player or five on a regular basis.

I'm not saying coaches should never yell at players. I'm sure Hoke lights into guys pretty good – in practice, not in front of millions on national TV. It's humiliating for the kids to get shown up that way. They are 18-22-year-olds trying their best. It sets a bad example for coaches in general, like the OP.

I hope recruits and their parents get to see video of Hoke with Hagerup. I would want my kid playing for a coach like that.
