Michigan scored 2 TDs against probably the top or second best D's in the nation. And Michigan gave up, what, 34 points to Bama's offense? Why is no one criticizing Mattison? Why is he for the past year a guru, he who must only be praised? Everyone is talking about missed tackles and how Bama's O-line destroyed Michigan's front 7 -- yet no one will criticize Mattison. Yet Bama's defensive line crushed Michigan's O-line. How is Borges supposed to stop that? Is he supposed to have Denard carry the ball 17-20 times when Bama's D is penetrating the LOS on 4 of 5 plays?
Sheeple. They shouldn't talk football.

I doubt we need either Lewan or Countess for another 3 weeks when we go to South Bend. However, I really hope they see the field next week as players need game speed to work on their skills and conditioning.
Go Blue!

Don't go to sleep on Air Force. I know they played Idaho State, but they still racked up 629 yards of total offense, and their RB is DARN GOOD.
Gonna need to play tight and hard to control that game like we'll want.

Rivals claims that Lewan's injury is "not serious."
Whatever that means.

Michigan Radio claimed that Lewan told the coaches he could go back into the game if needed.

i'm pretty sure your injury is just a pussy sprain. i've seen it plenty of times. loser guy, 30 yrs old, no friends, never played sports, girlfriend is sally palmer...not to be confused with jesse palmer, is too interested in what is happening with 20 year old students. ends up tearing his labia majora in a freak "i'm pissed off" moment.
remedy: ice your cunt, massage the clitoris every hour and stop thinking that your thoughts on um football actually matter.
it may help to grow some balls.

You are truly just the worst kind of person. Thanks for stopping by, I'm sure we'll never cross paths and I am grateful for that.

well i am just appalled at that type of response. and here i was just hoping that i would someday meet the one guy on mgoblog with the one dude from that simpsons program that's been on tv for twenty something years as his picture/avatar/nerdtypethingy. the nerve of some people. i come on here and spend my time giving my honest diagnosis as a nerdispussythesiologist and this is the thanks i get.
i don't need this type of abuse.
good day.

Because points scored on kickoffs and punt returns count the same as point scored by your offense or defense.

However, when you have a secondary that is not very good, you would think the coaches would protect what little assets they have on D.

... was my point. Thanks for your understanding.

i was at game and watched Countess on sideline. After sitting awhile, he stood up and was running in place but never reentered game. Dont think its a major injury.

I can tell you I saw a staff member repeat one part, and only one part of the knee physical exam on the sideline: The ACL exam. He compared right and left exams (standard) then whispered in his co workers ear.
I can also tell you that ACLs don't sprain, they tear. Regardless of what you may have been told in the past, especially in high performance athletes, ACL sprains are extaordinarily rare.
As you probably know, sometimes tears can be without significant pain, and running after the injury is quite possible. The instability is the issue.
I'm hoping for the best for the kid, and assuming nothing. Maybe the guy doing the exam was just a trainer, and did not want to get in trouble for telling Countess his knee felt fine.

I heard it's not a tear for Countess. But no more info available. Possibly back for ND. I haven't heard anything about Lewan though. And this is just info from more 'in the know' posters on other boards, so obviously no first hand sources.
