Any word on the golf course yet?

Submitted by rmic2 on

I am driving up to the game now from Pittsburgh. Has there been a ton of rain in Ann Arbor this week? I see it is supposed to rain most of the day today, and chance of rain on Saturday morning as well. Has anyone heard if the golf course will be open? If not - what is the next best place to tail-gate?

MGoBlue.com has nothing on it being closed, but it says on the site:

"Please call the Event Management Office at (734) 647-9760 with problems or concerns about parking operations"

So you can call them, if anyone knows they're the ones to know.

that plays just under 2500 yds and par is 33 from the men's tees. Also, it's a great place to tailgate. If not, walk across the street to the Blue Lot since its never more than 30% full.

I called yesterday and they said to call back today.  When I called just now, they said that they won't know until early tomorrow morning.  They said to check MGoBlue and WTKA at 6:00 am tomorrow.

Perhaps our resident MGoWeatherPerson could weigh in on the rain situation for next 18 hrs.

Also, what have been people's experience with Park 'n Party at AAGO?  Do they just reserve you a spot anywhere there, or can you choose a specific place where you want to park?

I talked with Bryan at the golf course and he said Park n Party reservations must enter through gate two, and are gnereally in one section toward the back...His advice to me was to get there early (obvi) and try to get in through gate 1 if you want to be closer to the stadium.

Do they allow you to park in the grass next to pioneer regardless of rain?  The grass along stadium and main.  I have a group that i am meeting there and I was just curious if anyone has any info?

Hi guys, sorry to hijack this thread, but can't post my own topics I don't think.

Does anyone know a good place in Boston to watch the game?  A Michigan bar would be best, but I'll settle on anything that would be airing the game in HD.

Of all the weekends I get dragged away from Michigan...

Thanks for the advice in advance!
